"A Terrible Place !!"
We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel...Terrible !!...on reading the previous reviews, one guest complained that there was only one robe for a double room !! We didn't even get one..the reception staff looked bored and disinterested, we had no fridge,no safe,no changing of towels or coffee/milk over the 2 days/nights...parking was atrocious, some place underneath the hotel where you had to then somehow find your way to the reception area(car park also cost £6 a day-not a great amount but told beforehand that it is included in the price),shower over the bath awful to work,no aircon, also the restaurant for breakfast seemed to be some sort of free for all, where anyone could push through whilst others were queued...the list is endless, cant believe it is about the same price as The Crowne Plaza...A gem compared to this........AVOID !!!
"A weekend near Windsor"
My partner and I booked a weekend to go to Windsor Castle, we stayed here on Friday & Saturday night. We arrived and were greeted warmly (a little tip unload your car before going to the underground car park as there is no lift from the car park). The hotel was very busy but the staff were good and we booked in very easily. the room was a good size and clean. We stayed on the club floor and were expecting a few treats as stated on there web site but the hotel have changed their policy, so that was disappointing. We found the meals in the hotel to be very good overall. We had a very good sleep on both nights although it was very busy with children going to legoland, but despite this it was a nice place to stay. We were a bit disappointed with the swimming pool it was only a metre deep and the Jacuzzi which was just a warm bath no bubbles at all. Overall it was good place to sleep the bed was good and as we spent most of our time in Windsor that was it. Would we stay there again probably..
"Disappointed beyond belief"
We stayed here over the week-end of 17/18 June 2017, the hotel was shabby and the words hygiene and cleanliness clearly mean nothing. The whole establishment was dirty and shabby and the stairways in particular were disgraceful. Only one lift worked, apparently this has been the case for some time, the dining room was disorganised and chaotic and the food was appalling. There was no system in place at all. The bedroom was dated, dirty ad shabby although the bedding was clean. There was no air conditioning although there vents that were supposed to blow cold air, unfortunately like most of the room facilities these did not work. We had booked a buffet for a group of friends for the Saturday, this was organised by Eva and was lovely, the hotel would benefit from more staff like her. The whole experience of staying at the hotel was uncomfortable and unpleasant and we would certainly not return to the hotel and could not recommend it to anyone. .
"Not a very warm welcome ....."
Stayed here recently for 3 nights as were taking our 2 kids to legoland for our 8 yr olds birthday. Upon arrival in the evening time, I was asked my name , told sign form in 2 places and handed room cards..... No good evening, how was your trip , your room is situated on such a floor , breakfast is served through here Or we serve food until a certain time..... None of that so not a very welcoming start. Room was ok , wouldn't be blown away by it and air con wasn't working and weather was up to 30 degrees all weekend !! Got to bar at 9.50pm which yes when food was being served til 10 was a bit late but after a flight and hour long drive we were starving!! We were simply told chef is finished, there is a takeaway around the corner !!! Now at that hour even a bowl of soup would have sufficed !!! Breakfast next morning was good. So off we went to legoland and came back that evening and kids wanted to go to pool so off we went, they were allowed in there til 9 , 2 guys that signed us in etc were very accommodating!! Came down to bar after juat before 930 for dinner . Sat at a table and waited a good 15 mins for some one to take order.... ended up going to bar to be told that the chef was finishing shortly and when I told the barman we had been waiting to give order , I was abruptly told you have to go to bar to order food !!! He had to then check with chef to see could we be fed !! Luckily we were but I wouldn't be writing home about the food ! Next day breakfast good again... came to our last evening and we made sure we were down to bar about 840, but on walking to bar we saw they had a buffet style dinner on in dining room where we had breakfast, first we knew of it!! So we proceeded in and waited behind 2 couples who were paying. We could see people up and down to buffet table and it looked delicious!! 15 mins passed before they all got sorted so then when we were next in line, I said 2 adults, 2 children to which I was told buffet was ending at 9 so we would have to eat in the bar!! I said well we were waiting for 15 mins to be dealt with while about 5 staff members just kept walking around in circles! In the end we went to kfc down the road !!!! On checking out the next morning, I handed over key cards , asked room number and that was it , no Hope you enjoyed your stay or safe travels... I never write reviews but felt this was needed. Won't be back in a hurry and a course for staff on how to be friendly wouldn't go astray!!!!
"Awful, worse hotel I've stayed at."
Stayed here last night with my family as part of the legoland package, it's the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was unclean, hairs in bed and shower, rubbish left on floor from previous guests (no bin in room) big stains on the floor, dirt all up the inside of the curtains And to top it off absolutely no air cooling system none of us managed to get any sleep due to the room being so hot and the windows only to be open a tiny bit although this did mean we didn't need to sleep in the dirty sheets. Also it advertised a restaurant suitable for children with a buffet or pasta and pizza this wasn't actually available neither was the restaurant area so we were expected to sit on a tiny round bar table in the bar area as a family of 5 and order from a very limited menu, we went out to find food elsewhere which wasn't too much of a problem but it would have been nice to have been informed before getting ready and walking down to the restaurant also when we had breakfast I the morning the restaurant was also boiling hot. I would advise anyone booking with legoland to avoid this hotel as it's not suitable for family whatsoever.
