Location

The Hotel de Rome is in the thriving Mitte district at the centre of Berlin. It is located on Bebelplatz, just off Unter den Linden. The Bebelplatz is one of the most impressive squares in Berlin, bordered by imposing classical buildings and has lots of things to see; to the right of the hotel is the Opera House, and to the left is the former Royal Library, which now houses the University Law School.
Mitte is one of the oldest districts in Berlin, so naturally there are plenty of sights to see and things to do. The Brandenburg Gate is nearby, just off the Bebelplatz, as are the Reichstag and the Alexanderplatz. There are plenty of museums to see, including the National Gallery, the Pergamon Museum, the Berlin Cathedral and the Museum of Antiquities. After all that history, if what you fancy is a nice relaxing dinner, or a look around the shops, then getting around Berlin couldn’t be easier due to this superb location at the heart of the city.
