"Trip To Chile"
I visited the hotel as part of an organized tour around Chile. The hotel was in a great location for all the local attractions, bars & restaurants. The room I had (620) was fairly large, and had a small balcony, although the view was not that great. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. The bathroom was standard, although they do not seem to supply plugs for the sinks or the bath. The breakfast was fairly good, a continental style, with all the usual things that you get with these breakfasts. The hotel is fairly large and on two sides of the road, so you could find yourself having to use one lift to the 4th floor, walking across the walkway and jumping in a lift the other side. The hotel also has free wi-fi. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a good base for looking around Santiago.
This is a hotel much used by touring groups and I feel this makes some of the staff blase about solving your problems. If your room isn't equipped with a plug in either the sink or bath (I stayed here three times and saw neither on any occasion) the chances of the them getting you one are very slim. Once they locked about five of us out of our rooms when we came back after a long day. We all had to trudge back down to the lobby to have our key cards validated. No sorry, no explanation just a shrug. Credit where it's due when my safe didn't work the security man came right away, understood the problem, went and got his kit and sorted it in minutes. Buffet breakfast is a bit hit and miss depending on when you turn up. Not a bad selection if you miss the rush. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, just off the main drag wth a Metro station just round the corner and bars and restaurants nearby. Be aware though that tourists are a target for street robbery in the immediate area around the hotel.
"Fine centrally hotel"
We stayed there for three nights, fine rooms not big but acceptable, friendly and very helpfull staff, the breakfast was good and tasty, the lokalisation of the hotel is exellent with many small cosy streets nearby, and many good restaurants in walking distance, also lokated in the city center the hotel may need a renovation, but we had a fine stay here.
"Good in parts"
Pleasant staff, with a little English. Room lovely size but so noisy. Spent one night on sofa because of next doors tv. Good bar. Adequate breakfast. Good area for sightseeing. Found there to be a shortage of restaurants in the immediate area except for fast food.
A nice and average hotel, located quite good in Santiago. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also just renovated. The only point for improvement in our view would be the breakfast- the bread and the pastries could be fresher.
