"a good place to stay"
I arrived late afternoon after a long flight and the check in process was smooth and the staff friendly (and quite happy to speak English thank goodness!). I stayed for 3 nights and the service was good throughout. My room was surprisingly large. Lots of space with a huge bed and several chairs. There was nothing flash about it (maybe a little dated if anything) but everything worked and it was comfortable. The hotel has a fair amount of charm and is an inviting place to visit. I didn't notice too much noise. Certainly my room was quiet. The hotel is a short walk to plenty of shops and there are a number of restaurants in the adjoining Paris/London area. I went for a long walk to see the sights of central Santiago (across to the Cathedral and including up to the funicular) and the hotel is located well enough for me to do that, although it is perhaps not in the most tourist friendly area.
"Sights of Santiago"
This hotel has kept its old fashioned charm and decor. The bedroom had been colourfully repainted. Bar and lounge areas were inviting. Walking distance to local sights and restaurants. Unfortunately our room on level 5 did not get hot water.
"Good location but very noisy"
Stayed at this hotel during our South America travels. Overall it is a fairly nice hotel with good breakfast, the main downside is the noise. There is a very loud A/C in the rooms that cannot be turned off. Most of the rooms (maybe all of them') are connected with a neighboring room with a locked door, but this means you can clearly hear your neighbors conversations and TV. The windows are also not very well isolated as you can hear the cars and garbage trucks passing by all the time. Other than that, the rooms were clean, bed comfy, wifi alright. However if you're looking for a good night sleep, look elsewhere.
the hotel is extremely well located in barrio paris londres, a very attractive neighbourhood just a few steps away from the metro and 5 minutes from thehistorical, commercial and financial area. the rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly and helpfull. there was complimentary coffee in the room, which is always a plus. good breakfast I would certainly return
Its an old hotel situated right in heart of the city. This is the second time I stayed here in as many visit to Santiago of Chile. Rooms are small but sufficient for business traveller like me. You can get the taxi from Airport at 20,000 peso (upto 4 people) and all taxi driver would know this hotel if you add street address (Serrano). Breakfast is good, Hotel Staff speaks good English. I would love to stay again here.
