"A big thanks to Mr. Morikawa of the Hotel Granvia"
Having lost my luggage with the airlines, I eagerly awaited my suitcase at the Granvia in Hiroshima. Upon inspection I realized that the handle was broken. The hotel was kind enough to help me and introduced me to a maintenance man who took a look at the suitcase and thought he could fix it. As we took it apart I thought he would be unable to fix it so I headed out to find another to continue my journey. While I was gone Mr Morikawa the maintenance man went to work and actually drilled another hole in the mechanical part and finally after a couple of hours and while I was unpacked in the atrium of the hotel, he fixed it. Upon my return everything was completed and I simply repacked and left being unable to thank Mr. Morikawa. He was the most helpful and amazing man I have ever met in my world wide travels. I have never experienced such service. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH MR. MORIKAWA FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. THIS HOTEL IS LUCKY TO HAVE YOU. You have no idea how much your work meant to me.
"Loved this hotel and its staff"
The location of this hotel is excellent. Its right in Hiroshima Station for all methods of transportation. There are numerous food options within the station. The rooms are extremely nice and updated. They provide 2 bottles of free water daily. The staff is unbelievable. They are so welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated them locating a place to rent a wheel chair for my sister and having it delivered to the hotel within minutes. Every question or direction we asked them, they were able to provide us with very helpful information. We were treated extremely good at this hotel.
"Brilliant Quad room"
This was our second stay at the Granvia Hiroshima, but our first time in the quad room and it was brilliant - a spacious 66 sq metre apartment like room with a sitting area, private bathroom area and a toilet with a personality all its own and a willingness to serve you day and night, with all the bells and whistles! For a family or a few people travelling together, this room is perfect. The hotel is conveniently situated right next to the train station, so it is only a hop, skip and jump to catch any train or the tourist bus (free with your JR pass). There are many and varied opportunities to grab some well priced food in the station. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
"Great hotel in great location"
We stayed only overnight, but hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Buffet breakfast was a bit limited, but fine. The location, though, was perfect -- literally adjacent to the main train station. Very nice hotel.
This hotel is located on the same floor as the Shinkansen train lines and is easily assessable. We were greeted warmly by the hotel reception staff. We were allocated a room on the 19th floor (actually it's eighteen floors up as there is no 13th floor). The room was spacious with twin beds, tv, fridge etc. The bathroom had a bath/shower combined, sink and a toilet from the starship enterprise. They have an array of toiletries including razors and toothbrushes. The room overlooked the station and you could watch the bullet trains for hours. We went to the Mayflower Bar that is a little dark and dingy. We breakfasted in the Dish Parade where they serve a very good buffet. It is in a very good location for access to the city, the bus terminus is right outside the front door. I am happy to recommend this hotel
