Howard Johnson Plaza Florida Street enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Buenos Aires, in the famous Florida pedestrian street, just 30 meters from the traditional Plaza San Martin, 35 minutes from Ezeiza International Airport, 15 minutes from the national Airport and few blocks from the city's financial and economic center and most of tourist attractions.

"Good fun location!!!"
Right on Florida street, a fun and busy pedestrian street, no cars allowed. Rooms are great as well as breakfast. Wifi was average. There is starbucks right at the entrance of hotel and a shopping centre within walking distance. Another highlight of Buenos Aires is the old and beautiful theatre turned into a bookstore called "El Ateneo" is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We booked for a taxi day before departing but the next day as we waited in the reception, our taxi never came' Another receptionist simply wrote down the street name where we could hail the taxi ourselves. Not very ideal when you are travelling at 5am in the morning and still a bit dark outside. A little extra care in that department would've been nice.
"Good 3 1/2 star hotel in a convenient location"
For folks familiar with Howard Johnson's properties in the USA, this hotel will come as a surprise. It's not a traditional HoJo. Rather, it's a fairly modern 3 1/2 star full service hotel in what is perhaps the most central location in Buenos Aires. The street in front is a pedestrian mall, but a taxi can drop you off 25 meters in either direction (at the Plaza San Martin or Paraquay Street). This is a business/tourist neighborhood, which I think is more good than bad, as it is lively and safe. In previous years, downtown (the microcenter) was inundated with homeless (think San Francisco), but they've somehow now solved that problem and downtown is once again a good place to stay in Buenos Aires. Rooms are large and decently furnished. The breakfast, while not delicious, is probably better than any free motel breakfast in America. The real scrambled eggs are certainly an asset, and there's ham, cheese and assorted baked items (including many desserts, which I find strange, but is common on Argentine breakfast buffets). The staff is reasonably helpful and friendly, and most speak decent English. Room rates are fair, but the best deal is if you have Wyndham Rewards points and use their cash & points option. The hotel is also a good deal if you're a family or group, because some of the rooms have 2 queen-sized beds (rare in Buenos Aires) and there's no extra charge for up to 4 people in the room.
"Great location for shopping!"
This hotel is located in a very safe area and great for shopping. Spacious, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast every morning included fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs, several meats and cheeses, delicious pastries, juice and coffee. The reason for 4 stars is their bar was very limited...overall a great place to stay
"Good location rest avarage "
The location was very convenient to me, the rest was pretty average/basic. My too had windows looking at the inside... Hotel staff was kind and polite though. Breakfast not impressive and repetitive. Overall average but good prices.
Although a handy location I don't recommend this hotel at all. We were disappointed with cleanliness and service. The elevator was out of use for the duration of our stay, it looked as though this had been the case for some time. The pictures show this hotel needs a revamp and isn't particularly clean. The breakfast made both of us ill. There were flies on the food and the pastries were awful.
