"Late Birthday stay in Liverpool..."
Centrally located, so near to restaurants, shops and bars. Staff were welcoming on arrival. Shame the bottle of sparkling my partner ordered at reception, as a surprise for my Birthday never turned up at the room. Breakfast staff were friendly and looked after the morning guests. We have stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York and felt that the Indigo in Liverpool was lacking the atmosphere that York had. I'm sure we will try it again to give it the benefit of the doubt..
"Fab place, will be back"
Great location, fab room, friendly staff, can't fault it, good selection at breakfast, sometimes breakfast can get a little busy but there are posters in lifts warning you of peak times, would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Liverpool
This is our second time of staying at the Indigo. It's a pleasant enough boutique hotel although prices are on the high side for what it is. Our room was again pretty small and we didn't feel we had much space for clothes, bags, toilet bags etc. The extras in the room are a nice touch although there's not really much to them. There are no views. It's a converted office block and I guess views were not uppermost when it was constructed. Nearby secure parking with a deal that gets you 24 hours for £8. Receptionists are really friendly as are most of the bar staff. Personally, I prefer the nearby Crowne Plaza which is right on the waterfront and also an IHG hotel. Rooms are bigger with a better layout, on site parking and many rooms have excellent views of the river.
"Good hotel and friendly staff "
Stayed here for one week recently for work purposes. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't get their names but there were 3 in particular that were really helpful. Breakfast was good with a good selection of cold breakfast options, but not much of a selection of hot so after a few days a fry up didn't appeal to me as it should (this isn't a complaint I just would have liked more of a hot selection) The rooms were really well equipped with everything you need. The bathroom floor could have been cleaned a bit better as there was hair which wasn't mine but was in clear view so not sure how it was missed. The complimentary extras in your room were a nice little extra, although some weren't refilled everyday, and for someone that doesn't like ready salted crisps it would have been nice to see a different flavour each day. All in all I would recommend this hotel, I have already booked my second trip here next month.
"Bar service needs fine tuning"
This is mainly a review of the Bar/Lounge area as haven't stayed at the Hotel. Been several times recently for drinks, there is waiter service but after waiting about ten minutes and turning invisible it seems necessary to either go to the bar to order or approach a waiter and explain that you are there for drinks. There will still be a service charge even if the cash you have left on the table is not taken when your drinks are delivered and you end up having to go to the bar to wait and pay. In principal a Service charge is fine if the service is. Restaurant has been redecorated and looks a lot better. Masses of cases around the Reception area is not a good look and some more thought should have gone into the practicalities of guests leaving luggage. Overall the place looks good and is a cut above some of the rather tatty pubs.
