Excelente servicio y atencion del personal. Te hacen sentir muy comodo.Comment of M. Maria Jose , Spain the 2016-12-05
Very good value, but would expect a 5-star hotel to have a decent selection of international newspapers available (in several languages) and a broader range of TV channels.Comment of W. Jonathan, United Kingdom the 2015-03-26
"Wonderful elegant hotel"
Stayed here last weekend - could not think of a nicer place to stay in Porto. It doesn't look exceptional from the outside but the inside is great, and the staff were professional and friendly - starting with the offer of a glass of wine at reception on arrival. We had a spacious and tastefully decorated 5th floor suite. It overlooked the square at the front - which seems to be a busy night spot but the double set of windows ensured the room was quiet. Elegant function room beside courtyard for breakfast which was also very good.
"Stunning in every way"
Stayed here for 2 nights and was looked after my one of the firms I trade with here. Simply stuning in every way. Do not be fooled by the exterior whihc is pretty down beat. Indside is another world of lovely rooms and wonderful service. We stayed in Suite 101 which is massive. A real treat. The breakfast is superb with all sorts of diffrent buffet food including sparkling wine! The location is spot on as well for having a walk around Porto. Worth every penny.
We loved this small boutique hotel. The service was impeccable, from the moment you checked in to the very last moment. The hotel itself has beautiful architecture inside although the outside is not very impressive. The staff make the atmosphere welcoming and warm, they always had a word or comment and were truly interested in whether or not you had a good day. Our room was small (by North American standards but not by European standards), the beds were comfortable and there was no noise at night.
Hardly a five star hotel. Barman very apologetic but could not make me a Cosmopolitan as only allowed to make the cocktails in the limited menu. Similar story when I tried to order. Bombay Sapphire Gin and Tonic. No proper bar area and although decor grand, furniture very mis matched.
"Not a 5 Star"
Everything you have read about this hotel is spot on, the only exception, sadly this is not a 5 Star hotel. The common areas might be 5 stars, might be, but my room was not. Reality check time for everyone, this is a 4 star hotel. Set your expectation on the 4 star dial and you might not be disappointed. Nothing fundamentally with a 4 star just don't advertise yourself as anything else. Great 4 star hotel.
