"Staying in InterContinental Paris Avenue Marceau"
The location is very convenient. The walking distance from the Arch is about 5 mins . Walking to luxury shops such as LV shop is about 10 mins . The hotel room is big and comfortable. The breakfast in hotel is wonderful !
"small is beautiful, but not always"
this must be the smalles Intercontinental hotel in the world. So crampy, from entrance over lobby to elevator to corridors to rooms. Even the gym is crampy and small, with only 3 tools available. What a joke. Our room 209 was crampy and full of flaws. Sockets didn't work, fillngs were falling apart, gthe shelf above the toilet was bending forward, ... what a disgrace for an Intercontinental. It's true that the staff is doing their best, which doesn't mean that a real 5 star service is reached, e.g. we ordered icecubes to the room, and we got crushed ice delivered. No doubt their best crushed ice, but not what was being requested. We remember as good aspects: * the excellent coffee maker in the room with capsules, yummy coffee * the small but excellent bed that provided us a good night sleep. We didn't order breakfast, fearing that it might be as small as the rest of the hotel. Instead we went out and frequented the many restaurants in the area. Vive la France!
"Ideally located and outstanding service from staff"
We spent two nights at this hotel before a river cruise. Although we arrived early from North America, we were treated to coffee and croissants while we waited a short time for our room to be readied. A double room with a lovely view of the street, television, coffee maker, and wifi. The service was excellent from every staff member with whom we interacted. The concierge staff was particularly helpful in giving us directions, suggesting routes and procuring tickets for attractions. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!
"OK but lacking final touches"
Room was nice and clean. The selection in the breakfast buffet was a little slim and the waiters a bit too busy. The gym is very small and only equipped with 3 machines. I would find someplace else considering the price tag.
"Close to all the attractions"
Service was very good, the food was excellent. It is a small boutique style hotel so not a typical Intercontinental Hotel. However, was very well maintained, the staff are very helpful, genuinely thoughtful and friendly. A good place to stay
