"Great hospitality and kindness from the staff"
I was staying at this hotel during my honeymoon trip. The staff was very kind and understanding making it far more enjoyable than we expected. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite filled with lots of amenities. We were also given a special gift. Unlike some of the negative reviews (which scared us at first) this is a very classy hotel in the middle of action close to all activities and attractions. The staff were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Concierge provided great tips and filled our daily activities with interesting sightseeing ideas. My special thank and gratitude for everyone at the hotel for the job well done. Thank you.
"A great stay."
I stayed at the InterContinental Paris- Avenue Marceau at the end of a river cruise with AMA Waterways, with my mother who is 79 years old. Our room with twin beds was the picture of modern comfort! Although the tub/shower was a bit awkward for my Mom, the hotel provided a step, to help me get her safely into and out of the tub. There was also a cell phone in the room for guests’ use, which had internet access and long distance to North America...free! When the concierge heard it was my birthday she sent a bottle of champagne to our room. The little breakfast room was comfortable with ample selection. After a busy day of touring there were lots of restaurants nearby, and the walk to the Champs Élysées was short and right near the Arc de Triumph. Although not right in the district with all of the museums and tourist attractions, the walk was not too bad and if walking is not your thing it is a quick taxi ride to the action! The concierge will gladly arrange for you. We were very happy and had a wonderful rest each night after a busy day of sight seeing. The service from the staff was outstanding.
"Nice and Great Location!"
We enjoyed our one night stay. The staff was very friendly. The room was of good size for central Paris. It was just blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. The room was very clean and neat with coffee maker and comfortable bed. Would recommend for most travelers.
We were here for 2 nights in August , and there is no doubt that we were absolutely mesmerized by the location of this property - right next door to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. Be it a quick bite at Ladurée or shopping at Louis Vuitton , we had the luxury of just walking down to these places whenever we liked. On arrival , we were checked-in by a very courteous staff member , and as requested in my email earlier , we were given rooms on a higher floor with views of the Eiffel Tower. We could just sit in the comfort of our rooms and watch the hourly light show in the evening , that too multiple times. Due to a technical glitch , my SIM Card got blocked on the day of our arrival in Paris. But thanks to the "Handy" smartphone placed in our rooms , I could access all the essential apps like Maps , Uber , etc. and even make local calls within Paris. This truly was very helpful in my case. I can't wait to return back to Paris , and stay again at this wonderful hotel !!
"Paris Fashion Week"
This has to be a mixed review. Positives. Staff. Location. Breakfast. Negatives Tiny room. Stupidly priced. The staff were superb and the location for walking around is excellent. Breakfast was great and a really good selection of food types. The room (superior not standard) was like a broom cupboard, honestly the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. I asked for an upgrade or a bigger room but as it was fashion week I had no chance. The prices, and not just because it was fashion week, are too high for what you get. Including breakfast and some room service when we arrived late the first night it was over £1000. I would say that’s a lot for a tiny room for two nights. I don’t mind spending money on great hotels, I stay at the Savoy and similar regularly and they are better value. Would I stay again, well if they had a mega deal on a junior suite or a suite then maybe as the location and staff were great. Otherwise, no I would hunt for somewhere else to stay in central Paris. Slightly disappointed but as I have stated the location, staff and breakfast numbed the pain!
