We have stayed in the hotel with my family for 9 nights. It is great, but one thing I want to admit that was really excellent. Our daughter got cold and it was first time abroad for us. We had an insurance, but first and the fastest reaction was at hotels concierge service. They immediately called a doctor and helped with translation into Spanish and it was just so in time help for us. Room service was also great, 5-10 min and your order is in your room. Clean rooms, good breakfast, a lot places to spend time. Not a lot kids inside, but all of them were more than happy with pools, animation and beach. One thing that was not as we expected was the beach. It is city beach and well equipped, but the sea was dirty. They say when you go to more distant city beaches they are better.
Grand Luxury for me it's a flawless attention to details, that 'a why I can say the hotel did not live up to our expectations. The hotel position, the grounds responded to our desires, even the Malvarosa beach. But this could be at any four star Resort. The 5 stars GL though are not in the rooms, with stained floor and sheets, unclean WC and definitely not at the restaurant. Breakfast is good, but again I'm not expecting to make my own coffee or cappuccino from a coffee machine or to find instant chocolate. Our experience at the restaurant moreover has been disappointing. If you have course on the menu, doesn't matter if italian, indonesian or uzbeki, it has to be perfect! So it cannot be excused by the fact that we are italian, the way our pasta was cooked. My kids ended up not eating a bite. The staff then was all apologetic, but it takes a lot more than just offering a diet cola or french fries. I'm the first one to feel sorry about the overall experience, but critics are made to let us understand mistakes and improve.
"An Excellent Resort Venue"
Made our reservation wanting a room with a view of the Mediterranean. And that is exactly what we got and more. Las Arenas Balneario is scrupulously run and maintained with excellent staff and services, talented chefs and an all around good vibe. Only minor negative is the immediate neighbourhood but a short taxi or bicycle ride puts you right in the centre of old Valencia, a charming and laid back destination. Special thanks to Consiege Carlos for quickly resolving our transportation problems. Highly recommended if you are looking for a resort setting near Valencia.
"A great overall hotel"
This is a great overall hotel. We stayed for a week and have no fault with any aspect of it. The rooms are nice and spacious, staff are friendly and helpful and it is ideally located right on the beachfront. A few specific reasons why I have rated it five stars is the hotel provided a cot bed for our 8 month old daughter at no extra cost and provided baby bath products and toys. It's the little things that make a huge impressions. The staff are all helpful and courteous, be they at the front desk, restaurant or house keeping. I would highly recommend.
"Don't miss this hotel!"
My room faced the street so no view of the ocean but was very nice. The hotel is beyond fabulous and the only resort hotel on the beach as far as I could tell. It's a 20 min taxi ride to get into the city center where the good restaurants are but that's with it considering how wonderful the hotel resort was!! Don't miss it and don't forget to visit the Holy Grail at the Valencia Cathedral which is easy to get to and there is a nice meuseum there as well.
