"The perfect hotel in Nice"
I was staying at Hotel Negresco this summer with my wife and i must say that this hotel is one of the best hotels at the cote d'azur. Very help full staff and you are allowed to bring your dog, they even got room service for you dog
"Le Negresco is Magnifique"
We stayed in the right hotel for the coastal trip to Nice, France. Located right on the beach road, it's a very nice and picturesque place. The bathroom was large and a bit glitzy, but no different than a Las Vegas place. The hotel staff was nice and the room decorated well and comfortable for an American palate. Just inside the foyer is a magnificent domed room that has many pieces' de art around it. Currently there was a fun fashion show going on while we were there. A very cool and fun B'fast room was in the hotel. It was built as if one was sitting inside on a circus merry go round - complete with beautiful small horses like one would sit on, a gorgeous ceiling and painted up walls to match a true carnival atmosphere. Very cool, European and French ! The food was delicious too.
We stayed at Hotel Negresco for two nights in November 2017. We were very impressed by the decor in the lobby as well as all the artworks on each floor and in our room. The service was excellent and the staff were responsive and prompt.
"Superbe hotel and service"
Extremely good experience. Very nice hotel, superbe room (thank you for the upgrade to a suite!) , perfect service at reception, bar and room cleaning, very good staff. Very interesting art collection. Cocktails at the bar are a must. Only negative feeling, breathing a bit messy and frankly speaking a bit poor compared to the price and hotel 5star hotels. But I’ll definitely go back!
"Not what it used to be."
Negresco is still a very high level hotel, but it may need some update. You will be impressed by the majestic halls. Some rooms preserved the old elegant furniture with a touch of the Fifties. The renovations in some rooms were not the best you could image. The basins and bathtubs are made of a golden glittering resin which may appease the taste of a specific population of customers but not the one of a European professional designer. The doors are thin and don't conceal their age. The service is excellent. We asked to change our room because the shower flooded the bathrooms and we were satisfied. The front view on the sea is breathtaking. The bar is inexplicably expensive. We spent about one hundred euros for two soft drinks and two alcohol drinks. What we found particularly unpleasant is that there is a tax on alcohol which is not specified in the menu. So, avoid the bar. We are still happy we experienced this hotel but we are also happy we found a good deal.
