"Booking nightmare then no room"
Originally Reserved a Jr. Suite for our family of 4 and was asked a week before we arrived if they could change us to 2 upgraded rooms with sea view on top floor. We were fine with that, they took our deposit and then when we arrived we were told that they tried to bill our credit card but it didn't work and they were full...too bad for us and just stared at us. Funny, a more expensive hotel used our credit card just fine. I will be going back to the hotel later to discuss with manager. They just overbooked and could have cared less. We ended up at Cornaro Hotel and they were great. Also, they told us that they tried to email us, funny we never received an email either. Finally, we traveled through Europe for 12 days with no other issues Stay away
"Stay here if you want to be sweaty in your own room."
I debated for a while whether to give 3 or 4 stars and settled on 3 because of how uncomfortable the temperature of the room was! It was ridiculous, you don't have control over your own temperature (despite the control panel in the room) so as soon as you entered the room and body heat started to warm things up it was way too hot! We called and asked for the temperature to be adjusted by the front desk, they did so but it got extremely hot as soon as we had a shower, trying to get ready and put make up on wasn't an option because we were so hot and sweaty in our room. If you open the window to get some fresh cool air it just turns off the air conditioning. The bathroom has a glass wall separating it from the bed, it has a curtain to pull across but it isn't large enough to make the whole distance so if you don't want your significant other/family member/friend watching you do your business they'll have to leave the room. Despite the negatives the hotel is in a great location and they have a simple gym with everything you need for a quick workout.
"Boutique hotel in central location"
The hotel is very central. Like walking distance to the ferry and Diocletian's Palace (if you never heard of Diocletian don't worry you're not the only one but it's interesting - the story behind it). And the people live in the complex still, lots of shops and was our central point for food and touring the couple of days we were there. Hotel luxe if good, very functional. Small rooms but thoughtfully outfitted. And the staff and service is very good! You could also get a massage booked but note there is only one person available (or at least when we were there). There's also a good convenience store and currency exchange just round the corner - gave the best rates when we were in town - was recommended by the hotel staff cause the hotel does not do currency exchange. The breakfast was small - but it's ample. Biggest negative - the wifi. It will bump you off and force you to relogin - like from step 1. It doesn't remember you. And it was a bit patchy. One small other bit to note. The bathroom - there's a large glass picture window panel between it and the bed room. So you can look into the bathroom and vice versa. I guess to help provide a bigger or more open room feel. There's a curtain that you can draw but it doesn't cover the whole panel. Might be a little awkward if you are rooming with someone you don't know well.
"Location, location, location"
Very comfortable hotel in a great location with parking situated behind hotel. We only spent one night in Split and would definitely stay again if we ever return. We had a comfort room with small balcony overlooking marina. Room was small by Australian standards but perfectly adequate. The staff very very helpful and all spoke English. The location of this hotel is excellent, very easy to find and less than five minutes walk to both the old town and the marina with plenary of good restaurants and bars around.
"Cute boutique hotel"
The hotel is in a great location with modern decor, the breakfast is pretty good and starts at 6:30am until 11 which was nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's right across from the old port next to a pharmacy and a little mini mart.
