The twelfth arrondissement is divided into the four main areas of Bercy, Bastille, Gare de Lyon and the Marais historical Area.
The Bercy district, offering cafés and boutiques in a recent conversion of the wine warehouses, is popular with the Bercy Village and Bercy international Concert Hall. The
Marais historical district is situated at 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
Posizione strategica, a poca distanza dal Marais e da Place de la Bastille. Personale estremamente cortese e disponibile.Comment of G. Salvatore , Italy the 2016-08-10
"The perfect weekend break"
Booked 3 nights here to see Phil Collins in the Accor arena. Both Phil and the hotel were equally brilliant! From the stylish modern reception to the extra wide comfortable beds - everything says chic ! The room was well equipped with a little balcony overlooking the street below.Great for people watching. The bathroom was pristine and a good shower flow. The auto hair dryer on the bathroom wall wouldn't be great for long tresses but that wasn't a problem. The complimentary drinks in the fridge were a nice touch and tea and coffee making facilities were provided. Can't speak highly enough about the breakfast though.Cold, hot, cereals, meat, fruit, fresh croissants and even cake Everyone could find something to suit their tastebuds in this buffet. There was a very small gym and English speaking receptionist completed a perfect city break. The Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but the location - just a 5 minute walk from the metro with a direct route into Paris and a 2 minute walk to the river Seine which you could walk down into Paris with the option of riverside views, cafes and bars was beyond technology.
"Great hotel wonderful staff"
We stayed in two rooms for 4 nights. Nice size rooms. Very pleasant decor. Comfortable beds. Good and plentiful breakfast. Alexandra was wonderful making changes to our rooms after booking due to extra family members joining for a couple of nights. She sorted out flight changes for us too which couldn't be done online. She is very professional, cares about the hotel guests and everything is done with a smile. Train station gare de lyon RER a 5 minute walk and you can go to eurodisney direct. Metro bastille also a 5 minutes walk. We went to roland garros from metro gare d'Austerlitz which was a 7 min walk, which saved changing metros and guaranteed a seat. Spent the last evening at a cafe near the hotel eating drinking and people watching. Will be back next year for sure
"The perfect choice"
I spent one week with my family and we enjoyed a lot our stay. The rooms were perfectly equipped and the everyday cleaning was beyond perfection. The staff is so friendly and nice, they help us in each and every occasion and they solved every problem with likeability. Celine and the rest of the staff: merci for being so welcoming and for helping me enjoying Paris with my elderly mum and my siblings. I'll come back for sure.
"A Quirky Boutique Hotel"
Le Marceau Bastille Hotel is a boutique hotel located in a quiet neighborhood about a 7 minute walk to Bastille Metro where you can easily get to all of the Paris landmarks in 15-20 minutes. If you will be using the metro a lot, it is cheaper to get a pack of 10 tickets. Please keep your ticket until you leave the station as there are ticket inspectors as you leave the station especially on weekend. There are some restaurants nearby and a Carrefour is within a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The lobby is small but modern and also serves as an art gallery for local artists. The featured artist displayed during my stay was not to my liking but the art show is changed every 3-4 months so you might enjoy the art during your stay. There is no restaurant in the hotel and the breakfast is outsourced. It is continental with fruit, cheeses, cereal, bread, danish and coffee/tea. A hot breakfast isn't served. The room is well appointed but very small and not much space to move around. The safe is located in the closet on the bottom but the only way to use it is to get down on your hands and knees. Not a very practical location for the safe. There is air conditioning but is only turned on at a certain date. So if you are staying there on a warm spring day, you must open up the window. The internet is free and pretty reliable. The staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay at this quirky hotel which is in a very assessable location.
"Can be noisy."
Do not accept room on first floor facing street - no air conditioning in May, noisy and lack of privacy when windows were opened, dreary decor. Comforter on bed required cool room. Replacement room in rear had bright decor and was quiet when window was opened at night.
