"Classic Swiss luxury hotel"
as a family run luxury hotel, expectations are high - as always in Switzerland, expectations are met: one of the best hotels in Zermatt! You get what you pay for, service is friendly, not outgoing but discreet. Location on main street, great outdoors area for a cocktail in summer.
"Gorgeous hotel and views"
Our stay was the best of our month long trip to Europe. This hotel has everything you could ever want, including a view of the Matterhorn. Our room was very large with plenty of space for all our luggage and then some. Very large bathroom with a towel warmer. The beds were very comfortable too. We also had a balcony that allowed us to sit and relax with a view of the Matterhorn. This hotel is a very short walk from the old farmer houses that have been preserved. A nice pool and hot tub are outside between the two sections of rooms. The breakfast has a wide variety of items to choose from along with a cook to order egg station. This is a must stay if you are ever in Zermatt, lot of shops and restaurants all around the hotel. Plenty of hiking and biking trails too.
"Cozy hotel n room, good location"
Stayed at Mont Cervin Zermatt for 2 nights in Sept as part of my Suisse trip which was recommended by a friend. It's a lovely hotel and you can request for pickup at the traim station. I missed out on the horse carriage service (only operate after 11am), which I thought was soo cool n different too. It would've been awesome n special to use it. I had the Alpine room, quite cosy in size with window facing back of hotel. Bed and everything was perfect. There's complimentary Sparkling or still mineral water n fruits on arrival. Loved the bathtub n fully utilised it for both nights. This was my way of wrapping up my Suisse holiday in style. Daily breakfast inclusive...good variety with eggs, cereal, fruits, cold section and Champagne!!! Soo cool. I had that and dark hot choc too..perfect indeed. I dined in the evening on second night at the Grill restaurant. All other restaurants were closed (rather disappointed)...though I did enjoy the food and service at the Grill restaurant. One thing for chef to note...food was slightly salty. Would be good to review as many people are health conscious these days. I did had some slight problems with staff understanding my request when I called housekeeping to get more "bath salts" but they took it on both occasions "bath soaps". Would be good if 2bath towels were left in bathroom instead of one. If unused then it can left there but at least there is an extra one as and when needed rather than calling housekeeping each time. Just rather inconvenience. Otherwise overall happy with the hotel.
We went last month for the sixth time, it is just like going home, everyone is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We have always had an upgrade which is fantastic having a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. The rooms are so good and the bathroom is amazing. Have booked for next year. Can't wait!
"Quaint, wonderful hotel"
Zermatt is a delightful and charming village where no cars are allowed and there are splendid views of the Matterhorn and surrounding Alps. In the summer, young shepherds walk their goats through the center of the town before a day of grazing on the mountainside, then in the late afternoon, they return. The Hotel Mont Cerin Palace is a wonderful hotel. The lobby is a tastefully decorated place to gather and meet. It includes comfortable sofas and chairs, and there is also a great bar. The hotel includes two buildings that are connected by a second floor skywalk. The majority of the rooms are in the second building, which is only reachable from the skywalk. My only complaint about the Mont Cervin Palace would be the journey from the lobby to rooms in the second building. For some guests, it was a bit confusing about how to get to your room, although this didn't bother me. My room was clean and tasteful. The bed was comfortable with an excellent duvet, and there was no noise from other rooms or the hallway. My room didn't have much of a view, but the people I was traveling with received a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was in a corner with great views of the town center and the Matterhorn. Our rate included the breakfast buffet, which had a comprehensive selection of anything people might want in the morning. I especially enjoyed the fresh Swiss yogurt and the homemade apricot jam on fresh bread. The hotel has an updated gym/workout facility and spa. A truly memorable and delightful hotel in a charming village. Highly recommended.
