We had a nice room, primitive and charming. Breakfast was good, nothing exceptional. We would stay there again. It was good location and price. I am not sure if there was a concierge, but many good restaurants nearby!
"Good Location but Poor Hotel"
I stayed here for three nights on a recent business trip. The front desk are helpful and fast so check in was easy. They don't have a public accessible car park so instead take your keys and park your car for you in their 'parking garage'. The parking garage is obviously full of trees because my car was delivered back to me covered in sap and had obviously just been parked on the street which I could have done myself. The Aircon was broken and apparently has been for some time meaning the rooms are insufferably hot making it very hard to sleep. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. If you like stale pastries then you are going to have a wonderful time. If you like a healthier option then I suggest you go to the supermarket. No bananas, the cereal ran out before 7.30am every day. I was left having just a yoghurt each morning. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
"Over-rated 4* in Parma"
Don't get me wrong, this would be a great 3* hotel, but it's an over-rated 4*. Super chaotic reception (needed to say 3 times I had already paid for my pre-paid room, and that yes, I had parking with; not all of them speaking anything else than italian). Internet absolutely awful in our room (inexistent from bed, almost not-functional in bathroom). Poor breakfast for a 4*. Room was big and nice, but amazingly loud (trash truck kept us awake for long during middle of night). Just 10-15 min away from main seeing/shopping/entertainment sites.
"Good old world hotel with great central location"
Nice hotel, clean, large rooms, and comfortable. This hotel is centrally located and easy to get to Garibaldi square restaurants and downtown attractions mind you I was there on business so not much time for attractions. Would recommend this place.
My wife treated me to a 3 day stay in Parma for the Teatro Reggio stunning performance of La Boheme last Friday to celebrate my 72nd birthday. With the help of our local travel agent she chose Hotel Sina Maria Luigia. She could not have made a better choice for a medium priced hotel. We arrived a little earllier than check in time so had a small wait. That was no problem. We were pleased with our room (312), which was in the older part of the hotel and was very spacious with with a lovely large bathroom, fully equipped with all the bathroom necessities and lovely soft towels. 1 comment though we could have done with a light over the wardrobe which contained the safe. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We did not dine at the hotel, but had their continental breakfast which was fine for us. I used the bar each evening, prior to going out and was looked after well by Mario, thankyou. All in all a lovely stay and the weather was superb sunny and 21c each day amazing for mid March. I recommend.
