Placed at "The gold triangle", an unique cultural location surrounded by "Museo del Prado","Thyssen Bornemisza" and "Reina Sofia Art Museum".
"Great location, some rooms with noise issues"
Facing a busy street, noise was a problem for rooms facing the street. Rooms at the back look out on a quiet neighborhood, and do not have noise issues. In the "Golden Triangle" of museums, easy walk to the museums, shops, restaurants, and markets. In a busy, noisy and crowded neighborhood.
After a great time in Seville, we were excited to come and spend a few days in Madrid. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't live up to expectations. The room had a nasty smell and the cleaning staff missed a few things like putting a pillow cover on one of the pillows. The hotel staff recommended a couple of places they seemed obligated to recommend, and it was disappointing to end the holiday by being charged (expensively) for water. Our fault for not checking the drinks list but haven't been charged for water in hotels before. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, we had a nice balcony, and the bathroom was large.
Excellent service and friendly front desk staff. The staff helped us with tickets to museums and restaurant suggestions. The location is great and near many fabulous restaurants. We had a pleasant stay and would go back there again.
"First time in Madrid"
Stayed here as part of a two day stopover in Madrid. Hotel is located in a busy tourist part of Madrid near the beautiful botanical gardens and downtown restaurant area. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would definately recommend
Ideal for getting to the museums this comfortable hotel has a good restaurant for which we got a 20% discount. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. We ate in the downstairs area bar E25 for 3 courses. Good breakfast.
