The location of the Hotel Petit Palace Plaza is perfect for both tourists and business travelers. Nearby you will find the amazing buildings of the Stock Exchange and the Ritz. A short walk via Plaza de la Lealtad and Alfonso XII street brings you to the beautiful park El Retiro.
The hotel is also situated in the so-called collecting Art Walk – an area with the three most prestigious museums of the city such as the Museo del Prado, the Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

Very nice hotel, situated near the Prado, with load of liveliness within walking distance, with super helpful and friendly staff (gave me a room even though I arrived early: around noon). Fantastic and very diverse breakfast, with loads of healthy and/or local specialities. Nice bathroom and comfy bed made my stay very pleasant. Also good, stable wifi.
The first thing that greets you when walking into the hotel is a nose-wrenching smell of cheap perfume. This was a problem that literally lingered in our rooms as well. The problem is that it’s so strong that the children of our group started to have headaches from the stench. 2 of our rooms were fine, but one of them had a different type of strong, nasty perfume smell that just masked the scent of a dirty carpet. When reported to the lobby, they dismissed it as a non-problem and it was end of story from their side. My advice would be to carefully clean their rooms and environment instead of spritzing a cheap perfume all over in hopes that no one noticed. It was a factor that lead us to avoid coming back to the hotel earlier than we needed to.
"Nice hotel with splendid breakfast!!"
A hotel with good location, nice rooms and beds, wonderful breakfast (!). Thin walls in the rooms though so you hear your neighbors! Great service, tidy, welleqiped! Splendid bathrooms! A nice hotel worth it’s money
"Poor value for money"
Great location, nice area, lovely architecture. However room was tiny and airless, had window looking out on other windows! Had kettle but no coffee. (We had two sachets the first day but after that, having asked for replacements we got no more!). On the day we arrived we were trying to have a rest before heading out on our tour but were subjected to a loud hammering next door for two hours. I went to reception and they said it would continue until 6pm. They asked for my room number and indicated that they were aware of the problem but that was the end of that! The bread at the breakfast was said to be freshly baked. I tried to cut a slice but it was frozen in the middle. I gave it to one of the staff and waited for a replacement. A quarter of an hour later I asked for some bread. The waitress arrive with some of the bread I had returned earlier. It had been toasted. She said it was especially for me, she was joined by the man to whom I gave it to originally and he repeated that it was especially for me. They were both laughing at the idea. I can’t say that I thought it was too funny. On the following morning I tried to get some fresh bread again. I was told that it had been ordered but that it hadn’t come yet! The breakfast was mediocre. The most shocking aspect of the stay was the blasé attitude of the staff, apart from one blond girl on reception who was as helpful and professional as could be expected. On our arrival my husband asked for directions to the car parking. The directions were far from precise. We assumed the hotel had an arrangement with the car park but this is not the case. When we went to pay, we had to pay almost €70 for less than two days. Overall, the hotel is in a good location for touring Madrid but I have to say that I felt taken advantage of. We paid dearly for location.
"Nice stay at Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza"
Nice reception by staff. It is a nice quaint hotel near everything. We truly enjoyed our time here. Bit pricy though and rooms are a bit on the tight side but overall, it is really a nice boutique hotel.
