The location of the Hotel Petit Palace Plaza is perfect for both tourists and business travelers. Nearby you will find the amazing buildings of the Stock Exchange and the Ritz. A short walk via Plaza de la Lealtad and Alfonso XII street brings you to the beautiful park El Retiro.
The hotel is also situated in the so-called collecting Art Walk – an area with the three most prestigious museums of the city such as the Museo del Prado, the Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
Thanks to its unbeatable location other emblematic attractions such as the Gran Via, Retiro Park and the Plaza Mayor can be reached easily and quickly. Going to Airport Barajas International Airport and the IFEMA only takes a short car ride.

"Great Location - But Very Noisy"
Do not stay in room 304 if you want to have a quiet stay. Paper thin walls and old floors make a lot noise. We could hear everything our neighbors above and beside us were doing. Room next to us came back from partying at 4:30 in the morning and woke us up. Had to ask the front desk to quiet them down at 5:00 am - which they did. Other than the noise - which is really really bad - the location is very convenient and the staff is very friendly and responsive. Room service was good too.
"Lovely Hotel in all Respects"
I was so pleased with our stay at the Lealtad Plaza. The room and bathroom were a nice size, smarlty decorated and quite comfortable. The staff genuinely seemed interested in helping us feel welcome. In fact, a staff person from housekeeping knocked on our door late one afternoon to see if our room was cleaned and if we needed anything further. Although not in the center of the hub bub, it is in a beuatiful upscale part of the city, very close to the Prado and the Thyssen Museums and El Retiro Park and short walk to the major squares. We also found it very quite, no noise from other hotel residents or street noise, even though our room (with balcony windows) faced the street.
"Long weekend exploring Madrid"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Petit Palace. Excellent location near Retiro Park and easy walking distance to city centre. Room was ready for our early arrival so we could freshen up and start exploring. Room was a family room although not quite as we had expected. It was twin beds and a sofa bed. We had been concerned that our children would have been too young for top bunks that we had expected. This actually worked out better as the sofa bed was large and comfortable so we (parents )slept in that and our kids had twin beds. Staff were all very friendly and they gave great recommendations for restaurants based on our needs for different nights. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that the room and bathroom maybe needed a little tlc, nothing major but seal round shower etc could do with spruce up. Also air con in rooms didn’t have much effect. Given we visited in November this wasn’t a major problem but with four in a room I would have preferred it a little cooler through the night. If returning again I would definitely look to return to Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza.
"Fantastic hotel, even better location!"
Beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities and services. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful at all times. Our room was spacious and comfortable, nothing to complain about. The next time we decide to return to Madrid we will be back to the property. Thank you very much, Jerónimo.
First let me say that after booking the Lealtad Plaza, I wrote to the hotel three separate times inquiring as to what the transportation options were from the airport. I never received a reply. This made for a bad first impression. Upon arriving, (by airport express bus- a great option since the bus stop is nearby) you are underwhelm at the entrance. There are steps or an elevator. The elevator requires you to constantly press the button. Remove your finger and it stops. Odd. We were met by Veronica who was very charming. Our room (406) faced the front of the hotel and was everything we could ask for. Lots of room and charming. However, the wooden floor creaked. Including the floor above us. Bathroom spacious. I didn't care for the narrow sink. The TV had lots of channels but only one english speaking (CNBC). It would be good to hear about all the mass shootings back home. There was no room directory. The map given to me by the hotel was poor and there was no Madrid literature in the lobby. Breakfast had lots of selections and the staff was very nice. The dead spider on the corner wall should be removed. It's at eye level. Hard to miss against a white wall. Not many tables available. The hotel had no bar or restaurant but they do offer room service after 6 pm. The neighborhood is quiet and lacks restaurants. I liked the location...close to the park and museums but requires a long walk to the Palace. A tip about credit card charging in Madrid- hey will hopefully always ask if you want to be charged in euros or your local currency and whether you wish a copy of the receipt. Of course you want a copy and (assuming your card does not charge a foreign transaction fee) you want to be charged in euros. Otherwise they levy a 2.5% charge for the local currency. Madrid was fun!
