The hotel High Tech President Castellana is located in a privileged area between the Paseo de la Castellana and the bustling Serrano Street, near the Plaza de Colon, National Library and just a short walk from downtown. Near the hotel are the three museums on the Paseo del Arte: Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen, and some of the main shopping streets of the capital as Goya, Alcalá and Velázquez.
"nice hotel in salamanca district"
I have spent one whole week for business trip. the hotel is conveniently located in front of the Corte ingles department store and at the corner with serrano rd which is the most famous street for high hand shopping boutiques. serrano metro station is 5 min walking, room sizes are much better than other hotels located in the same area - I stayed during the weekend in a NH so I am able to compare . the main street Castellana will bring you all the way down to gran via by walking or by bus, museums are easy to reach by bus too in 20 min. the style was a bit too modern funky for my taste and some details were a bit run down. breakfast buffet was very nice with quite few choices including healthy smoothies, gluten free, milk alternatives, savoury and continental choices. overall a pleasant stay.
The room was Clean neat and tidy, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location wasnt bad, although it was not as central as would have liked. It would have been good if there were shuttle buses offered or another way of getting into the city centre.
It's my second time in this hotel being the first on July this year. There is a very nice staff, very good rooms, fashion indeed. Maybe not having a fitness room it would not be in my radar for next time, there was an offer for 15€/day in a gym in the neighborhood but for doing 1 hour session I found it not very good value. I recommend it!
"Great service and good location"
Front desk was friendly. Room service was good. Location was great. Two single beds, although it was very comfortable, and the flooding shower were my only complaints! But I would be happy to recommend this hotel.
"Short break in Madrid"
The hotel is situated in a quiet side street off the main road. The reception is lovely, the staff are very attentive and helpful. There are sofas, tables, desks and a ps4 in the reception area. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice although fairly expensive if there is a group of you. We had a 5 person room to share, but 2 had to end up getting another double room because it was so cramped. The pictures on the website make it look bigger than it is in real life. The bathroom door is glass and does not lock or even latch closed, and ours kept creeping open which provided no modesty! We had a hydro jet shower which was great. The location is ideal if you want to go to a real madrid game, you can catch a bus right outside which takes 5-10 minutes and you can walk back in 30 mins. You can also easily get to the centre for shopping, although you are surrounded by the classier shops e.g. Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc. Overall had a good experience here and would come back!
