"THE classic elegant hotel in Vienna"
Family stayed in 2 connecting rooms. This is THE classic elegant hotel to stay in while in Vienna. Lovely location. Rooms were beautiful and modernly updated. Suite bathroom enormous (I think too big actually). Wifi was great. Staff was great. Views of the opera house were great. Fast pass into the cafe for a sacher torte (which you can even omit since they serve the famous torte everyday at the breakfast buffet...that's the definition of luxury). Breakfast was lovely...calm, excellent selection, beautiful room, and adorable children's station. My only "complaint" was that we all smelled like chocolate as the toiletries are scented as such...clearly, there are worse things in life :)
"Elegant and lovely hotel"
I very much enjoyed my stay at this cozy and luxurious hotel. The location is very convenient, and my room beautiful. I appreciated the chocolates, and especially the daily fruit, I found every afternoon upon returning. The laundry service is also top notch; everything was handled with care. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Vienna...
"deserving of reputation"
THe only small complaint I could find was the room size however everything else warrants the 5 star reputation and price. IN fact the value is excellent considering the level of service and facilities.
"Pure Historic Luxury"
From the minute you enter the hotel, the place is charm and grace. The staff could not have been nicer, and the multiple cocktail lounges and sitting areas were gorgeous - each different in terms of color palate and decor, be every one romantic and enchanting. We are at each of the four restaurants, each with a different menu and a different decor. The breakfast buffets were enormous in terms of options, even a separate mini station for youngsters. The restaurant staffs could not have been nicer. We especially loved Sally, a waitress from England who's been working in the cafe at the Sacher for some 20 years. We had a front facing room which was spacious and elegant with a view of the Opera House directly across the street. Be sure to try the Sacher Tort pastry which was invented at the Sacher decades ago. I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't miss this property!!!
