Dorsoduro, with its art colleges and university, has long been home to artists, designers, writers and educators. A particular feature of the Hotel San Sebastiano is its convenient location, near the district's 15th century San Sebastiano church and featuring masterpieces by Paolo Veronese and Tiziano Vecellio. It is also near to the Galleria dell' Accademia which holds the collective works of Venetian masterpieces from the XIV to the XVIII centuries.

"What a beauty"
I would say this hotel is probably what you look for when visiting Venice. It's got that classic grandeur and style combined with a lush little garden to have breakfast in or just hang out in during the afternoon.
It was a nice stay but a little bit expensive for what we expected. It was however comfortable and although the garden was a little depleted (i understand that winter might not be the best time to see it)we did have a good stay. The staff were very friendly though and the breakfast was great!
"Kind staff, clean hotel"
The breakfast buffet was simple with the traditional cold spread (meat, cheese, bread, toaster, cereal, croissants, etc.) plus a couple hot items—eggs, sausage, bacon. Of the local hotels we’ve stayed in in Italy, it has had the best breakfast options. Room was clean, but small and simple. Staff was kind—Davide was helpful in guiding us around the city and suggesting local restaurants. No complaints about this place; we had a great experience.
Nice location but not nice rooms. Understand it’s a centuries old building but if you’re looking for modern conveniences in amenities this is not the location. However staff is very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nothing special. I would not stay at this hotel again. Our room was dusty the phone didn’t work
"Excellent Customer Service and Location"
My two nieces and I stayed at San Sebastiano and considered it the best hotel of our 5-city European tour. Umberto and Davido gave us excellent suggestions on things to see and where to eat, even getting us reservations at the last minute at a very small but excellent restaurant. The hotel is located away from the biggest tourist attractions, so we were able to relax and enjoy the tranquility of Venice. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Venice.
