Lovely hotel and location in Madrid, friendly and helpful staff, who could not do a better job for us. We were made to feel welcome, great restaurants nearby. We will be back to further enjoy the city.
"Excellent experience in Madrid"
My wife and I just returned to the US from our first trip to Madrid and were both really happy for the experience. For context, we're in our 40's, currently live in the greater NYC are, but have both lived and traveled overseas extensively. This trip was opportunistic - a few days free before a work conference - so hadn't been planning on a trip to Madrid (or Spain for that matter). In any event, it was a really special few days and a big part of that was due to Hotel Unico Madrid. Madrid is a walking city and the hotel is very well located. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly friendly/professional and really helped make our stay a success. The concierge helped with restaurants and tickets, among other things. Very easy to recommend this hotel.
We booked this hotel because of its location. Very peaceful boutique in the company of probably the best shopping area in Madrid. Many boutique and brand names in a close proximity. The rooms are very comfortable, some refreshing was going on whilst we stayed and the bathroom could have done with a freshen up otherwise very pleasant. Beds are comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well considering the hot weather we experienced. Breakfast was very nice with pretty much anything you desired. Unfortunately Ramon Freixa was closed during our stay, however the number of exceptional restaurants surrounding Unico was great. The staff are very professional, friendly and willing to assist. Recommend this hotel if you want to be just out of Madrid city and stay in one of the best areas of Madrid. City is a 5€ taxi ride.
"THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL IN MADRID"
5 Stars plus. Do yourself a favor and stay here in the ritzy Salamanca area. The staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful. It is modern, clean, plush, comfortable with top quality decor. Room is clean. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the sheets are soft and of high quality. There is a black brand new Land Rover with chofer for guests. We really enjoyed our stay.
"Truly a Five Star"
My husband and I stayed at the hotel Unico in Madrid for a week during our trip to Spain. We had a truly exceptional experience there. Everything was top notch from the interio design to the quality of food at breakfast. But most importantly we loved the friendly service. Attention to detail was second to none. Our every little request was addressed promptly and happily. The location of the hotel in the barrio of Salamanca was very special too. It was in the centre of an upscale shopping and restaurant district but yet at a walking distance to all the major attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel to anybody who appreciates quality.
