"Visit with dog"
I arrived and look forward to 5 days at this spa hotel. The first thing that happened was a discussion with the receptionist. He was not nice and I really sid not feel welcome. I went to the SPa one day but it dis not meet my expectations. The cleaning of the room was poor. Behind the table at the bed there was a lot of dust. I placed it out and hoped they would clean but nothing happened in 5 days. The surroundings were nice for a walk. The hotel was quiet and the breakfast was ok. Noone ever asked If everythinh was ok. And noone tried to help carrying bags and suitcases. Just watched. I was chocked.
"Comfort and quality in a perfect location"
We stayed at Hotel Villa Weltemuhle for 3 nights. We chose 2 doubel rooms with the view over the park and we had a very nice stay. The silent of the surroundings and the comfort of the huge rooms ensured a very good stay in the hotel. The breakfast in the "patio" , served in big, rounded tables, was a good deal too. We only had some issues during our check-out, due to some inner mistake of the hotel server, but we solved it thanks to the receptionist and her colleague. However we have to underline that the Hotel has some issues with the parking: during the reservation - made through Booking- it was not mentioned that the parking slots are subjected to limitation. This meaning that we had to park our car along the street outside. Morever, our friends staying in the rooms besides ours, had some issues with one of the two sink in the bathroom: but nobody took care to fix it.
Very nice hotel with professional and friendly staff, ready to help with everything. Beautiful, quiet area. Man at reception recommended very good restaurant near by and book table for us which was very nice. Highly recommended If you don't mind stay a bit away from city centre.
This hotel is popular with bikers because it is right off the highway, and popular with dog owners, who can bring their pets with them. Parking is free, which is good. The location is a problem, as the hotel is a bit isolated from almost everything: it is a 10 minute walk to the 94 bus stop, and then a 20 minute ride into town, or you can take a 20 minute taxi ride for 21 Euros. The hotel is a bit run down, especially the carpets. The wifi is a mess. Even the receptionist admitted that reception in the rooms is extremely poor, and he recomended we sit in the hall or in the lobby when on-line. Plus you have to have a code, and each code allows only 2 devices. The breakfast was good, but the woman who oversees it is NOT a nice person. She even yelled at my elderly mother for daring to make herself a cup of tea 30 minutes after breakfast had ended: "Dont you know we are closed!" Point taken, but why yell' The hotel has a bar but no bartender. Instead, you have to ask the receptionist to go to the bar and serve you, and the receptionist is clueless when it comes to pouring beer, even repeatedly using a spoon to scoop away the head. It was August, and our room was hot, but the cleaning lady kept closing all the windows. The windows should also have screens to keep the mosquitoes out in the evenings. All in all, it wasn't a bad stay, but I certainly wouldn't recommend the place to family and friends.
This was a charming hotel with large lobby, rooms and beautiful garden with surroundings. The wifi and normal parking was free. The breakfast was good, but a bit pricey. However, the big minus was that there was no restaurant for dinner, although there was definitely ample room for that. The location is also remote without transportation.......
