"Great location! "
Boutique, stylish and super cool! The foyer is small but with great style, staff friendly, rooms great size and design. Great location, 2 min from union square. It's a hidden treasure! Highly recommended 👍
"Ideal for San Fran Sightseeing"
An understated hotel with unusually large city centre rooms (we had an Executive King). Staff exceptionally helpful and courteous (particularly Justin on Reception). Good hotel in great location for so many highlights, although we felt our room was a little tired. Excellent public transport on the doorstep.
"Great First Stay"
Stayed at this hotel for my first trip ever to San Francisco. The location is perfect if you are looking to stay near the Union Sq. area. The lobby is separate from the rest of the hotel which is nice since there can be some bums that like to wander around this area. The Restaurant inside the hotel has great atmosphere and was perfect for the after-work drink and small dinner. The bar has a wide variety of spirits/wine/beer so even if you a particular about your Bourbon (which my co-worker was), they will have something for you here. The room was a perfect size for me since I was alone. I didn't so much love the location, but I did book through a 3rd party so, I couldn't expect much. My room ended up being on the courtyard side, right above the outdoor area of the restaurant. They do make people go inside by 10pm so the noise wasn't bad. I just would've liked more sunlight. I ended up needing to extend my stay. The front desk was more than helpful with accommodating me even though I did not book through them. The charge was a bit more but not too much and the whole process was seamless. This hotel can get pricey, like others in the area. I will definitely stay here again.
"Boutique in heart of city"
Was here for 2 nights this week. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. Sophi helped with making some copies for a meeting. Very easy. Restaurant is small and loud but the food is very high quality. (It's also expensive but i expected that in a city hotel. Meeting room was horrible (9th floor moma) no windows, one rest room (unisex) for 20 people. Hvac was so loud we had to turn it off but then we all were sweating and uncomfortable. To be fair, this is not a hotel designed for meetings. The room size is fine (I don't agree that they are too small!) and love the large windows. Cleaning staff all were friendly. I was on 7th floor so no issues with noise. But be warned...the other reviewers are correct to stay away from 5th floor rooms if you are looking for any sense of quiet. The bar is loud and music is loud...surprised they have folks staying on the floor. Very hip and young feel (and I loved the video on the in hotel tv channel!)
"Beautiful Hotel ~ Friendly and Welcoming Staff!"
On a business trip and Hotel Zelos was recommended by a colleague. From the moment I called for directions I was impressed. A real person answered quickly; it happened to be "Harley", he kindly guided me in, personally welcomed me at the front door and ensure the accommodations they provided were to my liking. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in San Francisco, and Harley has been the first to truly make me feel like a valued guest from thee moment we connected by phone. The hotel overall is absolutely lovely, very clean with beautiful decor and a fun bar on the 5th floor. I highly recommend Hotel Zelos ... be sure to ask for Harley when you arrive!
