"Great but very loud hotel"
Beautiful hotel in a great location, but very poor sound insulation from room to room and room to hallway. Hotel claims quiet hours (probably because of this) but was unable to enforce them. The loud guests next door for two days straight sounded as if they were in the room with us.
"Hotel fine, do not eat at Urbane"
Hotel was fine. It is getting a little worn - they need to do a refresh but much better than the Hilton that is in town. However, do NOT eat at Urbane. Food was awful - strange tasting and not cooked correctly. They did not listen when we told them it was awful - just said - thanks and took the plates. Weird.
Loved it. We were traveling for our anniversary and had a very nice stay. I loved the greenness of the facility, the ecologocal impact is very positive. Plus we were treated to a complimentary cocktail and breakfast!!
"Pleasant downtown Seattle Hotel"
I like the Hyatt Olive 8 a lot. We got a corner queen room on higher floor with good view. The room was spacious and laid out efficiently. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The hotel feels like a boutique one which was tranquil and pleasant. The pool and fitness center and locker room were very clean and well equipped. Swimming laps was amazing with view of downtown. The restaurant had good food and good breakfast menu. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional. I had some requests and all were delivered perfectly by the hotel.
"Ticks all the boxes"
I'm not expecting a luxury experience here, just a solid hotel. Things I care about on a business trip: --Location: right downtown, can't be beat --Bed: excellent --Workspace: good desk and chair. Not perfect but solid. --Shower / water pressure: surprisingly good (see more comments below) --Internet: speedy and complimentary. This hotel makes a big deal about being green without being obnoxious about it, and more importantly without sacrificing anything. All materials etc are great, even the low-flow shower is still quite good. Except when prices get too high this will become my go-to hotel for Seattle visits.
