"Comfy Bed, But Understaffed and Needing Update"
We were booked into this hotel by our cruise line. Many restaurant options nearby. I tried calling the hotel several days before our arrival to ask the concierge to make dinner reservations for us the night we arrived. The phone rang and rang, no one answered. I finally called the national number for Hyatt to ask them to put me through to the hotel. Since I couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. Someone then did pick up, and promised to have the concierge call the restaurant and make a reservation for us. When we arrived, we discovered our reservation had not been made and were told they didn’t have a concierge. As a member of Hyatt’s loyalty program, we were upgraded to a larger room. We didn’t realize it was right next to the health club, until 6:30 the next morning, when someone was running on the treadmill right on the other side of our bedroom wall! A bit later I went to the health club to do some stretching, and looked around for cleaning materials to clean the mat. There were no cleaning supplies to be found. The bed was very comfy, the shower was large, but the towels were thin. Overall, not up to Hyatt standards.
"Outstanding Service - Great Location"
This hotel is, by far, our favorite in Miami. We love walking through Coral Gables and along the Miracle Mile. So many nice shops and great places to eat. Hillstone is our favorite. This hotel is well appointed and comfortable with a nice pool area to relax and chill. This trip was a quick getaway for our anniversary. The manager, Daniel, got wind of the special occasion and upgraded us to a nice pool view room with a veranda. He also sent up a nice bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and a card for us. It's those special touches and connections with real people that make us want to return to this resort again and again.

Good service, but hotel losing its edge. High parking costs (almost more than the rental car costs). No longer a diamond amenity, plus no newspapers either in the Breakfast Area of under the room door. Motel 6 or Hyatt Coral Gables'
"Great service and accomodation"
Completed my third stay the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables. Great Hotel in a fantastic location. Service and staff are the best. Location gives access to some great restaurants within walking distance and is easily accessible by taxi, uber or other public transport.
It's my second visit to this hotel. On my recent visit, the carpet of my room had a funny smell like there was urine on the floor. I also found hair in my blanket. I have the impression that the room was not cleaned properly before I checked in.
