The location, setting, and overall experience were all fantastic. Great value for the money, exceptional service, hassle-free booking and reservation -- and most of all, the room was amazing. Excellent decor, well equipped, super comfortable bed, and great marina view. Hyatt remains at the top of their game. Our experience could not have been better -- the only thing wrong was that we wish we could have stayed longer! "Premium room feel like motel. It is not worth the extra fee."
Prompted by an email, I paid extra to be upgraded to stay in a premium room. I found the room to have a water view, which is good, but, the room is in a separate building that feels like Motel 6. It is simple, only moderately clean. Furniture (couch) looked old or dirty. Bathroom plain. Bedroom plain. No extra at all. A very basic room that are outdated. Is that what I get for paying extra' I feel the people who didn't pay extra and stayed in the main tower, may have got better rooms. Overall, it fell far short of the expectations for the brand name "Hyatt"!
"great quite neighbor beautiful views"
Great hotel, away from the main path. very easy to get in and out. also the views from the rooms are amazing. rooms are very comfortable as well. Very friendly staff, alway ready to help. we enjoyed the morning walks on the marina path. Looking at seal and seagulls.
"Great hotel in the best location"
Although Mission Bay is a little out of the way from downtown/central San Diego, it's a superb location. Room was overlooking the bay and faultless. Expensive but very good restaurant on site and the breakfast, whilst again expensive, was outstanding and the staff were 10/10. Brian deserves a particular mention for his customer service ! Gift shop on site and nice but small swimming pools which are heated.
"Comfortable for Mission Bay"
Overall nice stay for dog-friendly mid-level resort. Pool heated during November. Bar staff serves pool-side. Housekeepers and maintenance super-friendly. Pros: wait staff at Red Marlin super-accommodating, bar staff at pool went above and beyond, maintenance came to fix TV immediately and super-friendly, great pillows, AC doesn't get very cold since rooms are older, great view of bay/boats Cons: duvet comforter very thin, can hear sea gulls from inside room due to proximity to Bay, intermittent phone/wireless service
"Incredible views and friendly people"
Yes, there was a little need for TLC in my room (worn carpet),but I couldn't have been happier with my choice to stay here. The staff were very friendly and provided an upgraded room in the Tower, with views of Mission Bay, the ocean and the marina that were wonderful! Enjoyed a morning walk every day and never felt unsafe. The grounds are lush and beautiful. I only ate at the casual dining restaurant once, but the food was okay. Really liked having a coffee shop nearby for a quick and less expensive breakfast.
