I stayed for two nights to attend a meeting for work. The room was small but clean and tidy and felt new. Shower was amazing. Rest of the hotel was a let down; its outdated and it's clear why they need to renovate. Sports bar is just a conference room with some sports photos up on the walls. Food was ok; first day no food was labelled at lunch and the staff didn't seem sure what was what. Food was aimed at meat eaters- nothing at lunch if you were vegan or a non meat eater. Very disappointing and expensive for what it was. Would not return.
"Wonderful hotel in Financial District"
The breakfast is amazing. Staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. Location is convenient to Metro and easy walk to Arc de Triomphe. Beds are firm, rooms impeccably clean, and showers are large with great water pressure.
"Probably the worst Hyatt Regency ever"
I stayed in this hotel for a week in September 2017 and the least I can say is that i was disappointed. Let's start with the few good points I can think of: - My room was great with a big TV, nice shower and a comfy bed - Some good restaurants in the neighborhood (Ex: Rural) - Nice and clear view of Paris La Defense Now the bad points: - The renovation. it seems that this hotel is been renovated for the past year but man it is so painful for customers. - the check-in was in a temporary location as the main lobby is not available. I don't why it took 20 mins for me to check-in. The person at the front desk was nice but to be honest, when I am checking in I expect to get my key quickly to go to my room. - the WAIT for elevators. It literally took 20 to 30 minutes to go from my room to the street. Because of the renovation you have to take 2 elevators and it is not possible to take the stairs at night. Each time I was trying to take an elevator, at least 30 people were waiting. - Room service is a joke. I ordered a 35euros Entrecote and it was delivered to me in a doggy bag. I also asked to have veggies instead of fries and I was told it was not possible. The person on the phone was helpless and rude. - The gym is a shame. So Hyatt does not have it own gym. You have to ask the front desk EVERY single day for a coupon to be able to go to a gym next door. Be aware that you need to have a lock to be able to secure your items. I am not traveling with one so i was screwed. And finally the gym was so hot and crowded that it did not make you want to stay. I shared my complaints with the front desk when I left. At the end of the day, this Hyatt Regency is far from reaching the level of services expected from this type of hotel. As a comparison, I stayed in the Hyatt Regency in Seattle the week before and it was amazing. Such a nice hotel. I do not recommend to stay in this hotel, the Meridian next door offers a far better quality of service.
I am staying in this hotel for 3 nights and checked in yesterday. It’s a clean place. Actually spotless room. Lovely lovely people. Very helpful. They even help us with booking train tickets. So helpful. Close to all amenities. I highly recommend it to friends. I thank them all very much. And I had no problem with renovation noise. If people want clean room then accept the noise too. You can’t get a clean place with out renovation noise. Thank you again. Great hotel and great staff. Fahima
"Renovations in progress "
I stayed 3 nights at the Hyatt Etoile while attending a conference. The hotel is currently being renovated so my review is heavily influenced by the renovations. The registration was in a temporary location. Several elevators were shut down due to construction, so waits for an elevator could be very long. My queen bedroom was tiny - fine for one person, but would be very cramped for two people. I appreciated the bath robe and thick towels. Location provides convenient access to shopping and the Arc de Triomphe.
