"Good hotel, lovely food"
We stayed here for a week in May and really enjoyed ourselves. I had booked through their website and they were so honest as to tell me the rooms would not be refurbished as planned. If I wanted, I could have cancelled for free. But I decided to take the chance and turns out that even with the dated rooms, it is a great hotel. We were in room 116, with a pool view and side sea view. Here and there, it had seen better days, but it was still nice and comfortable. As far as noise is concerned, I would suggest you bring ear plugs. People were slamming doors and sometimes even yelling till late in the evening. Breakfast and dinner buffets were lovely. The food was presented very carefully and with an eye for detail. The quality was generally very good, but a bit more variety would have been nice. The staff in the restaurant was very nice and polite, always smiling. Every night we were offered a drink as we entered the restaurant, which was a very nice touch and something I had not yet experienced in similar hotels. There were enough sun beds around the pool and we were always able to find two beds at any given time of day. There were not enough parasols though, only the beds at the top of the swimming pool seem to have parasols nearby, which was a pity. There is a parking lot just outside of the hotel, where you can park for free, which was very convenient. There is not really a lot going on around the hotel, there is a beach club and a supermarket, but that's it. For more entertainment, you need to go to Puerto Banus, which is within walking distance. We were glad we had a car though, otherwise you have to rely on taxis or the bus to get somewhere. The staff at the reception was also very good. There was a problem when we checked out, drinks from the bar had been added to our bill by mistake, but they promptly sorted this out and apologised, which we appreciated. All in all, a good hotel, with a lovely pool area and good food.
We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights so had a decent time to give a fair review. Our arrival time was after 10pm but an evening meal was delivered via room service. We had side sea view room which was scrupulously clean and comfortable.Ours was on the first floor and overlooking the pool area and received the afternoon and evening sun. The room has a mini bar which we used as a makeshift fridge to store water etc. We found it handy to buy water/wine at the extremely large supermarket in Puerto Banus only a 15 minute walk away. This was a much cheaper option than using the mini bar or hotel bars. If you don't mind the walk along the sea front that is fine but a return taxi costs about €12. There are buses stopping outside the hotel to Marbella at less than €1.5. The buffet style breakfast is excellent with great choice and includes sparkling wine. Every taste seems well catered for including gluten free and vegetarian. Evening meals are a sound choice and are equally good with menu's that vary daily. Each evening there was entertainment. Some have commented on the noise but that was not an issue for us. The side sea view room was spacious with a large balcony and good sized bathroom. The balcony was large enough to use for sunbathing although most people used the pool area where you can use a sunbed. The decor in the room is modern but there was only BBC world in English on tv.I didn't see any Sky TV. The staff were fantastic . Special mention to Celia on housekeeping.Everyone was polite and helpful. We were upgraded to full board and were very pleased. At first lunch was in the main restaurant but soon moved to Sea Soul where the sea shore location although great in some ways meant that if the weather was cool or windy the dining experience was not good.On hot sunny days this was no problem and there is superb sea view. The main restaurant is large but not overpowering. If you want to visit interesting places the hotel will arrange a coach tour. Our shopping journey to Gibraltar was good value at €25. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly as it ticks most boxes that you want.
Stayed here for my friends 40th birthdays . Hotel was amazing and the staff can't do enough for you. We booked half board but upgraded to all inclusive once there . Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a fabulous time. Hopefully we will be back at some point .
"Nice hotel with great facilities!"
Stayed here for two days with my boyfriend as a relaxing break. We arrived early for our check in but the room was ready and we were taken in there straight away. The room was beautiful- spacious with a balcony over looking the pool. It came with a hair dryer which was an added plus and it did have a mini bar, however it is important to note that if you are all inclusive only the water and soft drinks from the mini bar are included. We never struggled to get a place round by the pool and it was plenty big enough, with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. The pool area is very scenic with lots of little pools with fish and turtles in! The waiters are attentive and constantly making the rounds. We were bed and breakfast, and I thought the choice of breakfast in the morning was very wide- there as something to suit everyone. We paid for lunch on our first day and I wasn't impressed with the food- we had steak sandwiches and chips and they were distinctly average. The cocktails were nice but it depended on who was making them! There isn't a lot to do right by the hotel but Puerto Banus is literally a 15 minute walk along the sea front and once you get there you have lots of choice of food and drink. Although we got a taxi into Marbella old town (8 euros each way) there is a bus that costs about 2 Euros each and leaves just from outside the hotel. We had a massage whilst being here- the spa is currently out of action but we opted to have it in our room and it was possibly one of the best massages I ever had! If you do one thing here I highly recommend you have a treatment at the spa. We wanted to try the sea soul for dinner but it was shut on a Sunday and Monday evening for dinner! The staff in this hotel are so helpful- they even opened the shop for me to buy sun tan lotion! The hotel is a nice place to unwind and chill out, and we did visit before the season had fully gone into swing however the hotel was very quiet and therefore I don't think you could spend longer than a few days there without venturing out and sight seeing.
The hotel is in good position on the coastal road about 10 minutes drive from Marbella, 10 minute walk along the pleasant sea route to Puerto Banus. Staff friendly. Room ok, comfy beds but no free drinking water, no tissues, no tea/coffee facilities. Only one pillow each, extra if you paid for them! Main problem though is it's v noisy, particularly at night as people sit outside drinking heavily and making a lot of noise, still going at 12.45 am, shouting and screaming. And we requested a quiet room! Guess you need to have a room nowhere near the pool/bar area. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Disappointing overall.
