"One rude staff"
I have a mixed feeling about this hotel after I just had an unpleasant encounter with one particular staff only which I'll get to it later. First of all we arrived around 12pm yesterday and couldn't get checked in right away because there wasn't any room available so she says but not a big deal bc we walked around the center and grab lunch while we waited for our room. However, the One Star goes to a nice lady who checked us in and was very hospitable. I didn't get her name but she told us that she was moving to L.A. next year when she found out that's where we're from. The 2 star goes to the location, it is close to the center, hope on & off and the train station. The last star to the room which is comfy and overall clean. Now on to the unpleasant experience. Now, I don't give bad reviews just good ones so it takes a lot out of me to be upset and give a bad review. Today's our last night and we have an early departure tomorrow early AM. So I went to the reception around 4:15 pm and asked a lady maybe in her 40's, short hair, with glasses. First of all she wasn't friendly and had a frown when I approached her. All I asked was what time we should be at the airport. Omg! It was just a simple and she had a Major attitude! She was looking at the computer while she was talking to me and said "I don't know what time you have to be there." and looked away. She could've just give me an idea on the estimated time. But I asked her another question, if i should order a taxi now. Another harsh tone attitude, and this time she had hand gestures with her hands wave in the air and said "it only takes 20 mins. We call the taxi in 1 min in a very rude tone. I was so caught off guard with her attitude that I forgot to look at her name tag. Not even sure if they carry one. I'm not sure if she's prejudice against Asians or what but if she gets irritate it over a simple question then she shouldn't work in hospitality.
"Great location, helpful staff"
Stayed here for 1 night for Irl v Denmark match. On arrival/checkin our room wasn’t ready but where offered an alternative room upgrade which would give us room access straight away for an additional fee of 100 krone. This is in fact not an upgrade but merely a charge to access your room early (12pm) our friends didn’t upgrade and waited till 2pm and got exact room. Everything went well after this, room was nice, modern and bed was comfy. No bottled water or fridge in room though. Breakfast was very busy, buffet quite small but plenty of seating and food was plentiful. Staff were brilliant, helping with directions, charging my phone, holding bags etc. Hotel is in a great location. Right beside train station. 3 stops to Carlsberg brewery, 8 minute walk to tivoli gardens, getting ready for Xmas fair and loads of shops around here, cafe and bars. 15 minute walk to big commercial centre. Street reminds me of grafton street here in Ireland. Will Defiantly be back to Copenhagen and spend more time in the city.
Visited this hotel at the end of October, very good location in which to base yourself whilst in Copenhagen. Rooms were more than adequate and breakfast provided was more than sufficient if a little busy at times . A nice comfortable stay and a good choice if on a short break Top tip: save yourself some money and grab the train from the airport station is 700 yds from the hotel 🚂🚂
"Imperial Hotel is in a very central location in Copenhagen"
This hotel is very placed. The rooms were attractive, modern and clean. Ours was looking into a parking area so there was no road traffic and it was quiet. My only complaint was an occasional dripping noise that seemed to be coming from a radiator. The buffet breakfast was good, varied and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. We got a good deal via British Airways City Breaks.
"Convenience in a large city"
this hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Tivoli Gardens and various museums in Copenhagen. It is a longer walk to the LEGO store but well worth it. This is a large hotel with very long corridors. We had a well designed room with Venetian blinds inside the window glass (which could be controlled) as well as light and dark drapes. Plenty of hot water in the shower and a hot water pot in the room. Beds a bit soft. A Green Key hotel meaning that it practices energy savings. Different kinds of trash containers in the lobby next to the elevators. Very good breakfast buffet. Convenient business office where one can easily print out plane boarding passes.
