"Dont book a city facing room!!"
I had a city facing room when on a recent work trip - so noisy all night even though the hotel had gone to the lengths of putting in 2 sets of windows to try and keep the noise out. The decor in the room was awful - the seagull on the ceiling in particular was unsettling (pictured). The staff were very friendly and accommodating, when I checked in they put my taxi charge on my room and paid my taxi as the drivers card machine was broken, I called to complain about people hanging around in the corridor laughing and joking at 12:30am on a Wednesday night and they were very quick to come up and move them on - honestly if not for the lovely staff I'd have rated the hotel a 1 as I stayed 3 nights and got barely any sleep each night. No water in the room either which upon arrival after a delayed flight miffed be a little. Perhaps a different room on the river side of the hotel would have given a better experience - I shall never know as I will choose another hotel for future visits :(
"Some odd design choices"
Lot's of good things, staff are nice, views are good, great location. Breakfast also good. The negatives mostly seem to reflect some poor design choices early on. The gym is pretty much a 4mx4m glass box with a floor. Oddly, it is way too hot when the sun shines. Who would have guessed. The machines are also very neglected, with a potentially useful multi-gym ruined by having the cables stuck and bits tied on with bad knots. Repair it! Also the beds are ludicrously soft, which you may like, but I did not. They did upgrade me to an older room type with a more normal bed. Also, tiny things, but it is one of those design ideas of having 4 lamps in a room, but none emitting more than 60w each. Hence if you just want to work or have brightness, you cant. But lovely people. Just need to fix a few things.
"Stay at Inntel Hotel "
Well, it's a business hotel, not more, not less. The room itself is ok, but in my opinion nothing special. I lacked to see some small amenities like some fruits or water. Advantage of the hotel is the proximity to Rotterdam Centraal and to restaurants as well to the city center.
"They try to take customers for a ride"
For many years we spent during the jazz festival in this hotel. But what I experienced today was something I still can't believe. I tried to extend my stay for another night. After I sent them an email and I haven't heard from them after 6 hours I called the reservation. They told me that the hotel is fully booked. So I went to there website and booked the room there for 76,50 Euros. Now I got an email from their reservation telling me that the rate for the night is 167.50 Euros. This is unbelievable.
"Pleasant stay at the Inntel Hotel"
Very nice hotel in the heart of the city. Clean room with most amenities. I had a room overlooking the canal with wonderful views. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices and the room service food was also to a high standard. No face cloths available so if, like me you use them, pack some with you for this trip. One problem was that the snacks in the room were EXPIRED! Which is something that happened to me in at least 2 other hotels. When I called, they sent someone IMMEDIATELY, apologized and had them replaced - I repeat this HAS happened at other hotels, that is why I always check the expiry date of these expensive snacks. Excellent wifi in the room and throughout the hotel, brilliant really.
