"Reasonable place for families "
We were there for our stay in Abu Dhabi: the rooms are a little bit old style but overall comfortable and reasonable. The facilities are also a good deal for the cost. Location is good although not in the center of Abu Dhabi
Perfect is everything Food everything was good service was perfect and Ali (Bellman) is very helpful person great view from the hotel room water was clean and hot abu dhabi his self was really hot and really good
This hotel is located on another Abu Dhabi Island near Emirates Palace and Marina Mall. Quiet surroundings and plenty of parking spaces are available at the hotel, and it is easy for you to stop your car in front of the hotel instead of ending a service car to shut off hotel staff. A room that has been inhabited by the ordinary beautiful and comfortable and has everything you need. The good service is excellent as well as the pool and gym. Overlooking the harbor overlooking a variety of restaurants. Lebanese and Thai and Belgian Mqay.
The hotel looks very extravagant and has a lot of great restaurants close to it. As an all inclusive guest you can eat once for free in every of them :) The employee are very handsome. Especially the Concierge-Service was very helpful and did a good job. Farther there is a beach restaurant where you can have light meals like a salad or wraps. So you can have some lunch while enjoying the sun, the beach and the view to the etihad towers.
"Return visit - May 2017"
Having experienced a fantastic holiday here in 2016, rebooked to return in May for 11 days all inclusive. Please see my previous review from November regarding the whole holiday experience and the flights etc. with Etihad from the UK. This time, we booked the Intercontinental Limousine service to collect us from the airport by emailing the hotel to collect us and return, which was excellent with that little bit of luxury thrown in ! Quite reasonable cost too added to our room bill so no need to worry about cash. We opted for a City view room this time to gain a different view and the room was a Deluxe Double which was identical in facilities but much quieter as we were on a very high floor. As before, the room was immaculately maintained -except we were missing our standard lamp for some reason ' Not sure why but it didn't bother us and we didn't report it either . Bathroom still provided you with toiletries and large fluffy towels and robes - no complaints there. Still advise you to read news magazine in the room 'Interesting times' to find out what's on and with Ramadan approaching whilst we were there this was valuable. No change to free use of safe (big enough for an iPad etc) although I left mine out on charge in the room in the day and there were no problems. Please remember to use your electronic door red/ green buttons as we saw many rooms with labels saying 'we haven't cleaned your room due to the red do not disturb light being left on all day'. When you go out leave your green light on ! The room attendants were unobtrusive, the rooms appeared by magic to be cleaned as soon as you went out - very attentive to detail as always. There is now an addition in the room of a 'Nespresso' machine - free of charge with pods replaced every day - I was in heaven ! Really pleased with this as the problems in breakfast (see below) meant at least you could have 2 coffees before you leave the room !! Quiet Pool at top - very attentive towel staff - still get your coolers with your water bottles and as many towels as you need although weekends can get busy as does the Bayshore Beach club. No loud music here so very peaceful and relaxing which we liked. Pool bar - no bottled drinks on display stands until their inspection day when miraculously the bar was suddenly fully stocked and displayed, posh ash trays put out on the tables around the pool ! All disappeared after their audit !! Back to stainless steel ash trays and empty shelves ! Can still get drinks but doesn't look like a well stocked pool bar ! All inclusive menu is available for lunch here so don't have to leave your sunbed if you don't want to ! Expect to wait around 30 minutes for lunch, good quality . Now on to the changes - I'm apologising for the moan but the Breakfast service in the main restaurant sadly was not as good as last time we stayed. We weren't sure whether this was due to the hotel being exceptionally busy or just poor organisation or new staff. We were regularly shown to tables by the petite ( but very abrupt female greeter) where the tables were missing cups, plates, cutlery or tea spoons - we often had to wait for at least 15 minutes in the mornings just to get a hot drink, and we now know the reason why ! We sat right by the restaurant entrance on our last morning, where the poor waiters were all trying to access the guy making the hot drinks and we even pointed the problem out to the head waiter . There is one serving area where all the waiters are trying to go through a swing gate which is blocked behind by a ' drinks storage container so they cant get in or out very easily. The tea spoons are then kept in a different area and the cups and saucers in another area. Milk jugs in a another area . For goodness sake - what logic is there to this ' Time and motion study ''' I do hope the Food and beverages manager reads this review- Why doesn't one member of staff stay behind the server, - prepare the hot drinks and put the drinks on the top of the counter so the waiters can just collect their guests drinks PLUS the milk jugs from the other side so they aren't all trying to get in and out of the gate and go behind the servery area' They were working against themselves and inconveniencing waiting guests. When I asked the head waiter if he had ever sat where were sitting and watched the staff try to do their job he smiled and said that 'that was how it was done' . That process needs to change and fast, as there were a lot of people complaining about the slow service and the fact that capacity at breakfast is full to bursting = queues every day at peak times with tables not being cleaned and made up quickly and correctly, therefore delaying the service. Secondly I asked for a carton of milk for the room (bear in mind I've paid for all inclusive ) to take medication with at night, to save me asking each evening for a glass of milk and then carry it up to the room and was refused ! Last stay this was no problem- I even said well charge it to my room - still no carton - what has changed here '' Evening service for dinner - still good- food choices superb obviously with a middle eastern focus for your salads etc, fish, roast meat, pastas, large selections of cheeses fruits, fattening desserts, very very good. Excellent range of wines and drinks. Now for the a la carte restaurants ! Chamas still on all inclusive - visited twice first visit - excellent service- excellent food second visit -excellent food - appalling service - the locals received more attentive service in preference to us. We may have been wearing an all inclusive bracelet but we have still paid - in advance - to use all the facilities of the hotel - maybe some of the staff should be reminded of this fact '' Outdoor Belgian bar /restaurant- still the most well run and superb staff , service, and excellent food and drinks under their manager Orphee Derche plus Sai, Vik - attentive waiters to name a couple. Faultless even though the busiest of venues at night. Had a DJ with music on the Friday night but sadly this ended at 8 pm - would have loved this to continue until later it the evening as the bar was full and everyone enjoying themselves dancing- maybe extend it ' Yatch club is now closed and being refurbed whilst we were there to become Asian fusion- pictures look amazing - let's hope its included on the all inclusive package when it re-opens ! The Byblos sur Mer we didn't try previously, so opted to try this out as the menu looks amazing. Sadly although the food was good- again the service let it down by being incredibly slow to the point of stopping - one glass of wine throughout our whole meal ''' Although have to say, the quiet ambience sitting outside overlooking the marina was lovely. Food overall was still of an excellent quality and choice was amazing. Lunch times in the main restaurant appear to cater for large groups of tourists and corporate dinners - so can be busy but you are able to eat by the pool on your sunbeds off a limited snack menu which suited us fine - also down at the Bayshore beach club. Didn't try the Fishmarket, so can't comment. Drinks on all inclusive were superb - still the best value to upgrade if you enjoy beer wines and spirits. Good quality Chardonnay, Sauvingnon Blanc, Reds, Dry Sparkling, Full range of top shelf Branded Spirits and mixers, Beers (Hoegaarden in Belgian beer bar) lagers etc and soft drinks. No complaints at all. Building work opposite the beach This still continues although the piling has now been completed so the noise is now reduced. It is being developed into a luxury Villa complex so building will continue for the forseeable future but the noisy, unbearable phase is now over. Free Gym was fully equipped and well utilised by my other half in a bid not to gain pounds ! Refurbishing the lovely Jacuzzi area and pool and cool too ! Whilst this review may seem that our holiday wasn't as good as before - and picky - this is a 5 Star graded hotel and service needs to continue to reflect that ! It is not a cheap holiday and therefore our expectations were that it would be same as our previous visit. I would have also so liked to have met or seen the Hotel Manager & Food and beverage manager putting in an appearance on a regular basis - walk round the dining rooms and restaurants, pool area - TALKING to their guests - getting their feedback whilst you are staying there to deal with any minor problems that could affect the holiday experience. Having stayed here twice, I have never met either ! On balance we still had a brilliant time - the majority of the staff were still professional and outstanding - we were made to feel welcome as returning guests and recognised by staff which was a nice touch. Food still very good, Bar service excellent (especially in Piano Lounge in reception ), From the Reception staff to Bell boys to Melanie Concierge - all great assets to this hotel. The whole hotel cleaned to within an inch of its life and immaculate ! We have already rebooked to return in April 2018 as we still feel this hotel offers a great location and holiday experience to get away from UK weather BUT PLEASE sort out the breakfast service & organisation !!!!!
