"Customer Service- Royce"
Royce- provided very quick and easy check in/check out! Very sweet gentleman and delivered a tooth brush right to my door when I had forgotten mine. This was not part of the services they usually provide but he went above and beyond. I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Also when leaving the hotel bag check out started to take a while with the bell hops and Royce helped us to retrieve our bags quickly so we didn't miss our flight! I am amazed with the customer service he provided. We hope to visit again soon!
"Perfect celebrating our anniversary!"
We had a great time! The facilities are excellent and the service was wonderful! We were pleasantly surprised by the delivery of chocolate covered strawberries to our room! We told the front desk when we checked in that we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. That added a nice touch to our stay!
"5 Star' You have got to be joking."
This review is not based on a stay - but on my attempts to book at the Intercontinental and (lack of) customer service. We normally book with Intercontinental in various cities and have ease setting up room and stay preferences with the hotels. There are very specific requirements that we need - and it is usually discussed and ensured BEFORE we proceed to book with a new hotel. In attempting to book 6 suites with the Atlanta Intercontinental (which would have been a new hotel for us), I made two phone calls and sent three emails as directed. Phone calls: they would get someone to call back.Still waiting... Emails sent as directed - no response. Even checking Tripadvisor and seeing responses from "Sharon K" and sending and email for her attention, for which I received proof of delivery - and proof that it was opened/read: NO RESPONSE. (This was over a period of three weeks.) I am grateful I know what there service is like. If this is what you get in attempting a non standard booking heaven knows how atrocious they must be in sorting out a complaint or problem. (Most pre-arranged issues for a new hotel include that we always reserve rooms an extra day to ensure that they are cleaned properly before guests arrive the following day - most likely for an early checkin, plus delivery of flowers and specific bathroom amenities for those rooms, to viewing an in-room dining menu as the Intercontinental Atlanta does not publish theirs - we need to look at dietary preferences / fish or nut allergy - which necessitate being able to book in-room dinners or outside restaurants for the duration of the stay.) Want to know what real 5 star service is' It took one phone call to the St Regis Atlanta and one follow up email to confirm requirements. Done. That is 5 star service!

From the friendly welcome by the valet to the quick efficient check in by the well trained staff, a stay at the Intercontinental Buckhead is guest friendly. Shout out to Royce who pleasantly and efficiently welcomed us to the hotel. The mammoth lobby provides an impressive welcome to this luxury hotel. The parking garage is well lit and easily accessible. The rooms provide full length windows with panoramic views of Buckhead. Rooms facing Peachtree have some street noise, especially on the weekend. The fitness/spa area on the second floor sells the most amazing candles and body creams-perfect for a luxurious gift! The rooms are well equipped and the beds are fantastic. The only complaint I had was that there was often a wait for the elevator even though there were 4 guest elevators. When you stay at the Intercontinental, don't forget to enjoy the wonderful selection of restaurants on Piedmont just around the corner!
"Great bedding and great customer service"
I was checked in by Royce. He was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him at check-in. The room was nice but the mattress, bedding and pillows were VERY comfortable! I slept like a baby both nights I was there. I saw Royce a couple of times throughout my stay and he was always very friendly and remembered he had assisted me at check-in. Royce gave truly exceptional customer service and represents the hotel well!
