"Booked using points. "
I am a spire member and booked using points. The hotel's policy is not to grant anyone using points access to the lounge. I even offered to purchase the ambassador club membership. They claimed they upgraded our room, it it appeared to be the same room as everyone else received. Also, they did not want to grant us a late checkout. The evening front desk manager seemed to delight in telling us that since we booked using points that we were not elegible for any benefits normally granted to spite members. The only other place I have encountered this is in Mexico City. Very disappointing. Overall the room was ok. Large enough. Very clean. It had a large desk with universal outlets (both European and American outlets). The rest of the outlets (which were few and far between) were Australian. There was a minibar fridge with some space for your own items. Probably 1/2 of the minibar was empty space. No sensors. Very difficult to get a taxi to the airport with ample space for luggage. We had 3 mid to large suitcases and 2 roll aboards. The hotel staff tried to find us a taxi that would fit our luggage, but it took 30-45 minutes. If you need a larger taxi, give yourself plenty of time. Nothing against this hotel. But, if I was to return to Buenos Aires, the best place location wise is the Hilton. The newly renovated Madero docks area. More open space and any more restaurants within walking distance.
"All fine and luxurious. Maybe the price is the drawback"
I was in Buenos Aires fro business and the local office booked this place for me. It is for sure very nice with a lot of attentive service. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. It is also located near the "casa rosa" thus in the center of Buenos Aires. Maybe my only suggestions would be to have coffee for free early in the morning. Many other hotels of lesser category do that at least in other countries. I like to go for a run (nice run to Puerto Madero) and for sure I enjoy a coffee before going out. I suppose the cost was a bit more than what I was expecting but I suppose that is the cost of business.
"What a great stay"
This was a perfect choise, Inter Continental Buenos Aires. Everything worked perfectly and that is rare! Rooms a great and big and clean and quiet, gym is big and has everything. It has working hours but they open it if you want to go there earlier. Interior design of the hotel inc lobby area is in my taste. Staff is helpful and they fulfill all the requests. Special thanks to Pablo at the concierge. Club lounge has great wines and good food. Special thanks to Veronika who us Ms. efficient. Housekeeping took in consideration all the special wishes. The Terazza restaurant in the lobbyarea has good food and very moderate price compared that this is a five star hotel. Perhaps one negative thing was that the internet did not work properly but that was fixed quickly. I recommend this hotel as it is also a walking distance from the shops etc.
"Beautiful Interior Reflecting its Glorious Past as Buenos Aires Offers"
The hotel has a beautiful interior, but the surrounding area is a little bit run down. It is ideally located to explore the city. The staff were friendly and provided us with good service especially during check-in and check-out. Breakfast was perfect and the health club served its purpose.
"Large Nice Rooms"
The hotel is very luxurious as you enter and the rooms have the same feel to them. Very comfortable beds and the room was perfect for business travel. It is walking distance to a lot the downtown area and to several restaurants.
