Right on Times Square, this New York luxury hotel is perfectly placed in the epicentre of Manhattan’s theatre, dining, fashion and business districts.
"Amazing Stay Yet Again.......looking forward to next time already!"
We opted to visit NY for the NYE celebrations and once again we selected the ICNYTS. Once again we were delighted with our selection and once again we were treated to a fantastically appointed room over looking 6th Avenue and the Hudson. It was so good that my daughter was left speechless, which in itself is an amazing feat. She simply sat on the window ledge admiring the amazing skyline of this fabulous city. In terms of the room it is relatively generous in its proportion given the location (we have stayed in years gone by in other central hotels) and the decor is clean, modern and well maintained. The check in service was very good indeed although I must add that checking out was a different matter. The gentleman who checked us out was rather rude and disinterested and quite frankly he let the team down. I fully understand that it is very busy, transient hotel but after all its their job to be courteous and "put on a smile". We all remember good service, however, we are more certain to remember bad! Anyway all other staff members were amazing and we were honored to stay it this venue yet again to see in 2017! Would definitely recommend!!
"1st class all the way"
This hotel is perfect. Right in the heart of broadway. The rooms are clean and nicely renovated. The front desk is hospitable and accommodating. 10/10 would definitely stay here again when I come back for another NY visit.
"A good hotel marred by poor service..."
This is a good hotel with the perfect location. The front desk staff are however all equally surly and positively rude. They also do need to be taught to smile. The room was good and bathroom was well lit and had plenty of running hot water. Breakfast was varied and interesting comprising pan cakes with maple syrup and also porridge. The bacon was very crisp and altogether too well done. Choice of eggs was either scrambled or boiled, stored in the refrigerator. Interesting options included chicken teriyaki and Chinese dumplings as also fruit. We tried their Stinger Restaurant at lunch time and made two discoveries. The first was that service was difficult to find and the second was that you realise the name of the restaurant when you get the bill. We used the concierge service but were left unimpressed when we realised that he had omitted to warn us concerning important information. We lost out for instance when we chose to visit the Top of the Rock (actually up an elevator to the top of the Rockefeller centre) for a view of the city on our last night. We did not know we should get our voucher changed in advance. And when we sought tickets for a Broadway shot he recommended a package to include dinner at a poor choice of a seedy restaurant. This is a good hotel which has the unique distinction of being marred by poor service...
"Below the usual intercontinental standards"
Me and my wife were visiting New York in a long weekend, we initially booked three nights in a skyroom, we asked for a high floor and quite room, they gave us a room in the 22nd floor, then we asked them to change it and we went to the 36th floor. The bathroom was not clean, there was a spot of blood or something dirty on the toilet bowl from the outside, we called the house keeping to clean it and they said they'll send someone, we went out for the day and returned around midnight, and the spot was still there, so we decided to check out the following day, and after back and forth talking with the front dust they finally agreed to let us check out without a penalty. Overall the staff were helpful. Just a month ago we were in Boston intercontinental and it was a great stay, but the one in Times Square is not as good, the quality and cleanliness of the hotel is not up to the standards.
Close to the centre of NYC, this is a very nice hotel. Clean and spacious rooms, a sense of nice style in the lobby, good quality toiletries, coffee maker in room, NYC artwork on the walls. This would be great for tourists or business given its central location.
