It is true to say the staff here are phenominally attentive and always smiling, where nothing seems too much trouble. The one thing that stands out and I'm sorry to say this are the prices of meals and drinks the cheapest drink on the menu is the local draught beer at 200 Bht for a glass ( and NOT a pint glass ) a soft drink will cost 230 Bht that is £5.00 and £5.80 respectively meals are no better the bars were deserted when we visited and it is not hard to see why. It is unfortunate as the facilities are really great and as I said earlier the staff are exceptional

"Tranquil and great service"
Great view and well maintained resort. Makes you feel relaxed in a very short time. Swimming pool and breakfast was a very good standard. What I need to compliment most is, service recovery. The original room has some faulty plumbing and equipment and the manager, Ms. Maneenuch handled it perfectly.

"A Lush Tropical Oasis in Pattaya"
Stayed at the Intercontinental Pattaya Resort over a weekend in late May. I had previously stayed at this property when branded as a Sheraton years ago, and the improvements are very positive and noticeable. Overall, an excellent stay for the price paid – this property is definitely a welcomed addition to the Intercontinental portfolio. I would definitely consider returning. Pros: - a lush tropical oasis away from the chaos of nearby Pattaya - genuinely warm and service-focused staff - excellent Intercontinental Ambassador member recognition Cons: - on-site restaurants close early - disappointing beach Rooms: I had booked the cheapest available room category and received a several category room upgrade to a King Deluxe Tropical Pavilion – essentially an 800+sqft mini-villa with a huge bathroom and outdoor sala overlooking of the hotel’s many tropical gardens. The room was luxuriously furnished, and included a welcome fruit basket and wonderful Harnn toiletries. Service: Very attentive, friendly, and service-focused attitude from every employee we encountered. Sitting by the pool, I received a refreshing fruit snack and cold water every hour. The breakfast buffet at Elements was fantastic with a wonderful breakfast spread and responsive service. Just two examples of the exceptional service here. My only complaint is that on-site dining options closed earlier than published. We arrived at the resort around 9:30pm and were told that Infiniti restaurant was still serving food, but by the time we arrived at the restaurant around 9:50pm the kitchen was already closed (despite the published last order time of 10pm). Fortunately, room service is available 24hrs. Facilities: This property is a lush respite from nearby Pattaya. Three separate lagoon-styled pools provide plenty of outdoor lounging space and it was never a challenge to find a pool chair. Excellent wifi throughout the property – the signal was strong enough at the pool for wifi calling. The beach appears to be man-made, rocky, and not really suitable to swimming – although there’s still quiet beach chairs to relax in. Location: Located on a peninsula just to the west of Beach Road and downtown Pattaya. Far enough to be away from the hustle of Pattaya, but also a quick 10 minute taxi ride away. The Intercontinental also offers complimentary scheduled shuttle service throughout the day to the Central Festival shopping center on Pattaya Beach. The beautiful property here more than compensates for being slightly outside of town.
