"Seclusion at its finest"
This hotel is beautiful if you want to just relax and are happy to stay mostly in your villa. We had a luxury escape voucher with a private pool villa which was amazing! Private spa, private pool and around the clock service made us feel completely spoiled which was perfect for my husband's 40th birthday. Our 24 hour butlers were outstanding (thank you Steve, Seen and Ball for your impeccable service and kindness) and they give u a mobile phone so that you can contact the hotel staff 24 hours a day, anywhere on the island for assistance or service. They would even call if our 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on to make sure we didn't want our room cleaned or mini bar refreshed. We had afternoon tea included as well as evening cocktails and canapés which was beautiful at sunset sitting at the Air Bar. Everything from the pillow menu to the personalised service and attention to detail, this place was on point. Given the special occasion, we were even surprised with rose petals on our bed, a spa drawn and sparkling wine on ice after my husband's birthday dinner... wow! Thank you Seen!! However if you want to explore the island, you're better off staying somewhere like the Beach Republic in Lamai, which is walking distance to local bars and restaurants and they offer a free shuttle to and from the markets. The IHG offers transfers but it's 300 Baht per person each way so this can end up being quite expensive if you want to adventure out each day. We loved our stay at IHG and we thank everyone for the service and attention to detail. Definitely 5 stars all the way and a very memorable stay for my darling husband. We will be forever grateful.
"Luxury and Service all the way."
Stayed here in a beach front pool villa. Villa's are amazing with beautiful appointments throughout. This gardens in this resort are spectacular and really well maintained. The bar area has picture perfect views over the gulf and wonderful sunsets. The resort has a vast array of pools and a number of dining options all of which are very good. The attention to detail here is exceptional and nothing is too difficult for the staff to organize. The staff themselves are wonderful and respond incredibly quickly to any request should you have one. The resort has a number of complimentary activities including kayaking and paddle boarding. The resort also has a speedboat that will take guests to a number of locations. The food at this resort is second to none and the seafood on the seafood buffet night we attended was probably some of the best that we have experienced anywhere. Getting around the resort is easy with a buggy service transporting guests between locations on what is quite an expansive resort. This is a truly special place to stay and just a perfect experience in a beautiful location.
"Lovely hotel, fantastic view, overpriced"
I stayed in the hotel during my trip around Koh Samui. It is absolutely stunning location. The view from the lobby is picture like. I could sit all day and enjoy it. Our room was a sea view room so the same view I could enjoy from my balcony. Room was spacious, well equipped, clean - very nice. The hotel is on the hill and there are no lifts, so people with reduced mobility should be aware of that. Getting to the beach was a bit of walk via stairs among the trees, nice walk down, not necessarily nice going up (especially when you tired after a day at the beach). Gym very poor. There are a number of nice swimming pools at various locations in the hotel. I loved the one overlooking the sea from the top :) The downside - prices. There is nothing around hence they take advantage of it. Everything is very expensive. On top of it, there is no local taxi service and the hotel refuses to call for a local taxi so everyone is forced to take hotel car/taxi which is obviously 2-3 times more expensive. It could be a good idea to pre-arrange a taxi pickup to the airport in advance with a local taxi guy ;). Other than that - I would recommend that hotel
"stunning place, friendly people"
It's the sort of place a little like Lake Louise in Canada that you Weill never forget. The view takes your breath away - across to the mainland of Thailand, and it is constantly changing, as is the light over the sea. There are plenty of watersports, 5 different pools, a great spa where I had the best message I can remember. The oceanview rooms are special, great beds, great balconies, great bathrooms and treats. The staff are very kind and thoughtful, and it was hard to leave and say goodbye to some of them, we'd had such a great time. And quietly, the birdlife is incredible - there were eagles and hawks and beautiful little hummingbirds - and the greater drongo! a great place for couples to recharge. I was there by myself between business engagements but it's ultimately a great place to romance.
"Beautiful location, wonderful hotel and staff"
What a fabulous hotel! The location is breathtaking and the resort is beautiful. My family and I spent a week staying in one of the cliffside villas and it far exceeded our expectations. The food was fabulous, we loved the excursion to the Ang Thong marine park and the fantastic fire show but best of all is the customer service. The hotel staff are wonderful - so welcoming and helpful - in particular Steve and Tee. I can't recommend this hotel more highly, especially for families.
