"Business District location"
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location for business travellers. For holidayers, it is not far from anything with several rail lines at the transport hub only a short walk. We held a business function here and attendees were all easily able to access the hotel by public transport or personal vehicle. A perfect venue for hosting an international or local function.
As usual, excellent rooms (upgrade as a platinum member is always appreciated). Staff all friendly and helpful. Ate in the Chinese restaurant upstairs and also in the club lounge. Would always recommend booking club rooms at IC hotels, I've never been disappointed and this was no exception. Club lounge here is on the top floor with great views of Shanghai, premium drinks and a great selection of snacks/nibbles (to be honest you could have a decent dinner here and not need to dine elsewhere). My new go-to in Shanghai!
"Back for a 2nd Year"
As the title suggests, it's my second visit in a year. Location is great. Staff are impeccable always trying to please. Rooms are looking a little jaded and I'd expect this hotel to give them a refresh. Food in restaurant is really good. East meets West.
"Fantastic location with luxury"
What a wonderful experience for our first visit to China! Firstly this hotel is targeted at business travels which is fine and is no problem to us at all. The surrounding area is businesses e.g. Banks and other office blocks. However it is a great location and close to the subway. We arrived on the British Airways flight at 6am and went straight to the hotel and was there at 8am. They hotel staff were excellent, friendly and spoke very good English. We were escorted upstairs to check-in the lounge and were invited to have breakfast as our room was not ready. Which is expected if you arrive this early and at 10am it was ready! Our room was a suite with a separate lounge, guest bathroom, bathroom and bedroom. Fantastic view with large windows, the room was very quiet, clean, turndown service very evening with fresh water bottles and coffee provided every morning. The Club Lounge was excellent it had a good range of traditional Chinese dishes as well as western dishes. They served breakfast, afternoon tea, evening canapés with alcohol. The alcohol was a good range of brands, local and import beers, import wine (Italian and French) and fin, vodka etc). We stayed for 5 nights and used one night on redemption which meant we had to pay for Lounge access one night at approx £60 per couple Getting around - excellent tube facility, once you figure out the subway it is really easy to get around and cheap!! Sometimes 25p for a journey, Uber is also available and again cheap, but remember to have your hotel in Chinese as many locals can not read western letters. Location, not far from the main landmarks including the bund, pearl tower etc, Shanghai Disneyland was also approx 20mins away and easy to get to. Would I stay again' Yes! I have recommended this hotel to my parents who are going in August. I am interested in other properties in Shanghai to try in particular Ruijin
"Nice hotel with good location for a riverside run"
The room was up to snuff, amenities (French press coffee) 😊 and service good. Great access to a riverside park good for a stroll or shorter run (you can do loops to extend.). A perpetual parade of barges gives you a sense of the bustling and incessant commerce that is the continuing lifeblood of this exciting city. Pollution seems to be better, and I was amazed at the lack of traffic jams in pudong district this trip. The breakfast buffet was extensive as expected, and he Chinese restaurant on level 2 was fine for a dinner in a private room and lunch. I am a platinum ihc member but they denied me access to the exec level - so I can't extol the view from the top. Poor decision on the part of the desk agent ( or too rigid policy)prevents me from a full throated endorsement.
