Hi We stayed here for 3 nights a month ago. Location was very good and near to shopping center and restaurants. But the rooms and lobby so ordinary. The elevator was really terrible sound!!! I don’t know why'! Totally was good... specially that’s location
"Not a Luxury Hotel -- Breakfast Ripoff"
This hotel is poorly run and understaffed. I have never seen a supposedly luxury hotel without a doorman. We were told that labor is too expensive in Vienna to hire a doorman! The hotel is clean but it is tired and dated, nothing that $25 million would not fix. The rooms were hot and uncomfortable. When we asked the hotel about it, we were told they had made a deal with an ice skating rink next door to let them use their cooling tower capacity to freeze the ice rink. That a supposedly luxury hotel would make all of its paying customers uncomfortable so they can, undoubtedly, make some money letting a third party use their cooling towers is an affront to their customers and nothing a reputable hotel would do. When we said it was too hot to even sleep, they suggested we find another hotel! I certainly will do just that the next time I am in Vienna. DO NOT GET THE BREAKFAST! It has limited selection served in a drab room that is about as uninviting as it gets. My college dormitory dining area was nicer looking. They charge 28 Euros for an average buffet. I had to search for table ware off of other tables and wait to get any service. Instead, walk about three blocks to the theater district and eat at the Cafe Schwarzenberg. The food is good, reasonably priced, located in a charming old world building, and cost about half the price. I have Platinum Elite status with the intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG). This hotel is not up to their usual high standards. There needs to be a change in management as it is clear they are doing anything to boost profits at the expense of service and their customers. Shameful.
"Good place to stay "
I stayed two days in this hotel and really liked it. The room is very cozy and nice, service is on a very high level. Breakfast is one of the best. The location is perfect, only 1 min from the nice park and very close to the city center. The only thing I did not like is that you are not free to choose the table you want for the breakfast but probably this the way they manage the tables' availability due to the lots of people staying. Recommend to go!
"Friendly staff - smallest bathrooms"
I stay here a lot for work always guaranteed a friendly greeting by concierge who are they waiting once you step from the car . Friendly check in at reception ,great gym open all the time, breakfast huge variety and superb service. Rooms nice only area that needs improve are the bathrooms their so small can feel claustrophobic . Good location walking distance to centre
"Racist and the worst "
I started mailing with the hotel before my arrival , and I heard from a lady named " Isabella Dietrich" . I officially mailed her TWICE about spelling my family name wrong , but she insisted I had to go to customer center. It made me no choice but made an expensive intercontinental roaming call to her to make it right . First of all she interrupted me while I was explaining myself until I asked if I can finish my words . Then I pointed out the text was correct cause to her it's just copied and pasted, but as for others like " Dear Huang " , it's just never right . And I couldn't help to ask why would she bring so so so aggressive when I tried my best to get my name right . I fight for anything about my name, my family and my country, can't stand a mistake not to mention this is a series mistakes . There's a gentleman at the front desk which he's literally " the only one " tried to assist me during my stay , Mr. Fitz from the front desk . I had asthma when I arrived the hotel , everyone was just asking me questions and questions, Mr. Fitz was being very professional that he did nothing but help me to get my spray and pill immediately. I'm truly thankful for this. The next day I met him at the front desk again, he asked me how's my stay which is actually a very common question that any front desk staff would ask , but he's still the only one actually cares. I told him the AC is too cold , there's no heater . It's 12° out there . And the engine of AC is way too loud too . The next day when I returned , I had some problems when I checked in . The lady with a pony tail gave me an attitude, it was a hard time . After several mins I couldn't help to ask if I can speak with Mr. Fitz , then she immediately got me checked in and mentioned that Mr. Fitz got me upgrade that night according to the AC problem the previous night . The next morning after breakfast I was naked in bed preparing to shower . Someone just " BROKE INTO " my room . I was so shocked and speechless. I called the front desk about this and told then "I really had to shower now , please stop anyone doing it again ". They called me in like 3 mins . Yup , they just don't care that I've made myself clear I'll be in a shower . I packed everything and went down to check out , it was just silent like nothing ever happened. Not even an apology. Until I brought it up with Ms. Gabriele who's assisting me checking out , here's what literally she said to me with the attitude " we apologize for that , the manager had talked with the cleaning lady . She's a human and human made mistakes. What happened just happened, we can't change anything. So we offer you your breakfast for free , that's it " It was just like another bomb to me at the moment. Excuse me ' It's a security issue. And then she stared at me being so mean " like I said , human made mistakes and we can't change anything . I can't stop thinking this is just racist. Then I left . I decided to get help from ihg instead of anyone in Vienna. I was so helpless when I reported security issues.
