"Outstanding Introduction to Prague and a credit to Wenceslas Square"
The Jalta Boutique is a delightful hotel in every manner. From the warm welcome to the final check-out every member of staff was helpful and polite throughout the whole 6 night stay which ended 21st Sept 2017. Our room was a superior deluxe facing Wenceslas Square ( I called weeks ahead of our visit to ask for this with reception being so polite and obliging ). This was well worth the request as the view is amazing and confirming this hotel to be in the perfect position for tourists. The room was a little smaller than anticipated but was perfectly clean and well maintained every morning by the very polite maid. The bed was so large and comfortable, the bedding crisp and white whilst the mattress being of superb quality ensuring, in my opinion, a lovely nights sleep. The only very small issue was the shower screen being inadequate rendering it impossible to not get water all over the bathroom floor. After this I have to say the bathroom itself was spotless and cleaned every morning also. The complementary toiletries where luxurious and replenished after we'd used them. We stayed in the hotel on a bed & breakfast basis and once again this was another part of our stay that never failed to please and always set us up for the day ahead. Every morning there were buffet style choices of English and Continental style breakfast as well as fruit juices, teas and coffees. We didn't have any evening meals in the Como as we chose to dine out of the hotel but this was always busy and appeared very popular. We did however enjoy cocktails which were very pleasing to the taste buds. Now, if you do decide to enjoy a visit to the Jalta you really must find time to enjoy the little hidden jem of the fallout shelter under the hotel. There are daily tours, free of charge, which possibly lasts about 20-30 minutes and is so very interesting. All in all I am VERY happy with our whole experience and I genuinely hope I get the opportunity to visit again in the future x
"Loved the place"
Stayed for 3 nights, one of the best hotels on our 31 day trip. Friendly service, nice breakfasts etc. Dined 2 nights on the street side deck, lovely atmosphere. Found the airport transfer a treat after long haul flight. The restaurant staff were true professionals and most important, they tried their best to satisfy customer's requirements. Meals were tasty. We stayed at many more expensive hotels but found Jalta a great balance between price and service.
"Good hotel in convenient location"
Good stay at the Jalta having received an upgrade on check in! Rooms spacious, clean and extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly concierge. Good choice for breakfast. Ask for a city view room as the rear side of the hotel is less pleasant.
"A nightmare in Prague"
Where do I begin' I requested a week before arriving at this hotel a shuttle from the airport. Gave them my requested flight and arrival time. We waited for half an hour till we decided to take a taxi to the hotel. After check in we told the reception guy about the transfer problem- he told me it will be free of charge on my way back - I said fair enough then we went to our room (you need to take your luggage with you - there is nobody doing that! Mind you this is a "boutique"! Arrived to my room through a huge hall dark hall with pretty worn out carpet. Got in my room, no working air conditioner! Called n requested a room with air conditioner- was told hotel full! My room was the worse room I have even seen in my life (for a boutique) I felt I was in one of those motels where low life women go n get paid for a couple of hours (pictures proving it will come as soon as I can, but will come, for sure! A worker from the hotel came to check the air, didn't work, then it was the manager turn - didn't work either - I said I need a room with air or I'm leaving - told him about the airport transfer problem and the manager told me how can I repay you for all the trouble, a bottle of Proseco will be send to your room (still waiting for a it!) - a free dinner at the hotel restaurant (never got the invite)! I'm leaving this nightmare for good tomorrow! Think twice before getting a room at this hotel- ignore those beautiful pictures! They are not the reality!
Just returned from this hotel. We had a lovely stay. We were celebrating a special birthday and emailed ahead of the trip. Hotel upgraded our rooms and gave us complimentary bottle of prosecco. All the staff were pleasant, friendly and professional. The breakfast gave a varied choice. The only thing would be that the lighting in our room was on the dark side. If you do book I would recommend a street view as the rooms located at the rear would not have such a picturesque view.
