"Great hotel in perfect location"
I loved this hotel - where I visited on a business trip. The room was spacious and the location is just perfect - close to IIT and institutional area in South Delhi. Service was wonderful. They were very flexible and accommodating of my special requests.
"Value for money"
Recently stayed here. The hotel serves some Excellent Indian food and gave very good service during my stay. The rooms are bit dated but considering the room rent, location (hardly 20 min to Airport) and overall service, it’s absolutely worth every penny spent
"Serves the purpose"
I like this place. Sure the location is not exactly the center of Delhi but makes it more accessible to the airport and ideal if you are leaving from here to another part of India once your done with the meetings. The place is posh. Nice pool side area. Pretty five star in nature and so are the rooms and the breakfast spread is huge. Only one crib I have (and hence 4 stars) is the gym could be a bit bigger. I mean, you have a huge property and yet you make the gym very claustrophobic. This is a Jaypee trait since even Siddharth property has the same issue. Also, I think they allow outsiders to access the gym on some membership basis so the gym itself becomes fairly crowded especially in the morning. I wish they would keep guests in mind for these things.
"A hotel amidst greenery"
Vasant Continental is a 5 star boutique type hotel . It has 7 floors and about 120 rooms. Best part of the hotel is it's location. It is in posh diplomatic enclave, surrounded on all sides by beautiful greenery that is very pleasing to eyes when seen from the hotel room. Easily reachable from airport and New Delhi railway station and is very moderately priced for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast , particularly for vegetarians is below par. There are three restaurants , Chinese , Indian and coffee shop. Food is average. Rooms are ok and has all basic facilities including complimentary coffee/ tea arrangements.
"Delhi disgust "
I'm generally not one to write reviews, but I'm hopeful some will find this review helpful. To begin, this hotel bills itself as a 5 star hotel. I've stayed at better 2 star hotels and would never stay in this hotel. The room was so dirty (including bodily fluids (and blood) on the pillows--more on that later) that we left immediately. The lobby is nice, but as soon as you get to the rooms they are dated and certainly not worthy of a 5 star hotel (let alone 3 star). The walls were covered in scratches, stains, paint marks, and dents. The window was covered in grease/forehead/finger prints. It was clear the window hadn't been cleaned. In addition, there was hair in the safe and marks all over the bathroom counter. The bathroom mirror also had what looked to be toothpaste/toothbrushing spray from people brushing their teeth that also had not been cleaned. As if all of that wasn't enough, the pillows were absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable for any hotel ever. There was blood on a pillow and other bodily fluids on both of the pillows. Completely unacceptable. The staff "tried" to make amends by offering an upgraded room, but if they were comfortable offering this room to a guest originally, you can understand why we were not inclined to stay. Overall, management was not very friendly in responding to this. Not really an apology or an offer to refund. (We booked through a tour operator in India and they claimed the hotel would not refund the room price--talk about 5 star service) Advice--find somewhere else to stay. Perhaps a place that does't have blood and other bodily fluids on the pillows. Pictures below.
