"An Satisfing Experience"
The hotel is comfortable for the business and the room is clean and functional.I also appreciated that the air conditioner functioned well since Westerners like it colder than Asian people. The hotel staff have a very good attitude . In addition, the breakfast is good and the food is abundant.I like the taste of pizza and coffee. The Fitness Center equipment is updated and easy to use. Fitness center is vital for the Europeans. Overall, this is a memorable experience. But there is a friendly advice that there should be more tissues in the room.
"A Major Nightmare"
We stayed here as part of a Sinorama tour. The lobby was nice and staff helpful. BUT - it took us 3 tries to find a room that didn't have royally stained carpets or mold. The first room looked like someone sprayed red wine all over the carpet. Well we assumed it was wine and not something else. Room #2 had severe water damage from a window with broken seals. The mold smell was awful and there were water stains ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDOW. When you get in to the hotel around midnight, you just want to fall into bed, not hunt for a better room. Room #3 was barely tolerable. We hauled a desk person to all 3 rooms and he at least acted surprised at what we showed him. Oh and did I mention the stained hallway carpets' Truly horrid. And all 3 rooms seemed to be in an isolated part of the building - kind of like the hotel in the movie, The Shining. It was disturbing to say the least. The breakfast buffet was nice but the flooring was uneven so you had to watch your step. Maybe in its heyday it was a showplace but, in our opinion, it needs a major make-over and 2 or 3 dozen dehumidifiers .
"Jin Jiang International Hotel Xi'an"
This hotel is located at the new development area of Xi'an, though a bit far away from the city center, it is a nice hotel for both business and private travel. They have very friendly and helpful staffs, from the front desk, concierge, to the restaurant. Because of its location, it is wise to book your taxi in advance.
"Well past it's best"
Stayed here as part of a Sinorama tour. The hotel itself could be a good place- not at all central though. All of the hotel suffers from the lack of carpet cleaners, all carpets need to taken up and destroyed- they are filthy. If there were no carpets there would be a marked improvement straight away. Saying that, there seems to be a shortage of staff in the bars & restaurants; service is painfully slow or non existent.
"They ran out of hot water three times. "
The hotel lobby is attractive and has a very cool appearance. The location has nothing in walking distance. The first room I was given was very weathered and did not feel clean. I unpacked for a two night stay, and discovered it did not have hot water in the shower. I asked for a new room and was given an other room that was larger, not so weathered, and had hot water 🙃. The breakfast buffet was average/ok. Came back after a visit to the terra-cotta warriors, and again had no hot water in the shower 😣😒 I did not want to pack everything again and waited till morning to take a shower. Not to be had -- no hot water again, in the morning again. 😫 I complained at the front desk upon checking out. Heard other guests complaining as well, of the same thing. They had an oh well attitude, at the front desk -- have a nice day. Not even luck warm water was to be had!!! Worst hotel in China, on my visit and that I can remember, in general.
