"Simply the best experience"
On behalf of my family and myself I would like to thank the management and staff of The Jumeirah Beach hotel for an absolutely fantastic 14 nights stay. This was our 20th visit to the hotel in the past 15 years, and although there are many changes and much work taking place as always the hotel does not allow this to effect your holiday in fact if any thing they go that little bit further to compensate for the inconvenience of improvements being carried out. We were delighted to be given a complimentary upgrade to the Executive Club, this was unexpected but very much appreciated. We are looking at returning to the hotel on our way back from the Maldives in November and are looking forward to seeing who the improvements have developed. May I say a big thank you to Kavhinder who looked after us with great care at the Executive Pool and to the General Manager Mr Sven Wiedenhaupt who at a very difficult time at Jumeirah beach is doing a sterling job for his guests. Keep up the hard work your efforts are appreciated. Can I also finally recommend the RockFish restaurant for the most excellent sea food.
"Beautiful beach and a nice hotel!"
Our stay at JBH was memorable (family with 2 small children). We had a balcony room with the view of Burj Al Arab, and we enjoyed our choice very much for 6 nights. The hotel was going through renovation. We were not aware when we made our booking, but the noise was not so disturbing. However, we did not appreciate to wake up one morning in a completely dark room due to blindfolds on the window and no electricity in the room. We couldn't even open the blinds because the curtain drive was electric. We complained, and received a spa treatment package for two, which was a good compliment by the management. Overall, we had a lovely time! The breakfast buffet had various choices and the food was fresh. As part of half-board package we tried several Jumeirah restaurants for dinner, the best was Scape at Al Arab (upgrade charge, but it's worth it!). The Italian restaurant Carnevale was also good with nice choices on the menu and very good service thanks to Carolina from Kenya. Our kids enjoyed the buffet at the main restaurant close to the kids area where they were entertained by the animators. There were always available sun beds by the pool (even though the main pool was closed for renovation). The water park was nice, although the kids had enough after 2 visits, so we stayed by the hotel pool afterwards. The sea was far to warm and salty. The view of the Al Arab from the beach was good for some pictures though :) Overall, we had a very good and relaxing time on the pleasant resort grounds with the help of attending staff. We are curious to see what the hotel will look like after the renovations, so we plan to return to JBH on our next Dubai trip or a stop-over.
"Try the Night Swim "
This month, dubai opens the beach for night swimmers by providing safe guards and lights for a true new experience. It another way to beat this summer hotness. Location is Um Sqeeam 1 which is near Burj Al arab.
This was our 17th year at Jumeirah Beach. It is more than a hotel to us. It's our second home. Visiting for many years with our boys. We had a fantastic room as always. But this time it overlooked a building site. Loosing half the beach. We were aware of the building works. It said on the website that works would we carried out before 6pm. Unfortunately the builders were not informed. We had a pneumatic drill demolishing Sinbads every night until 1am. One evening the lift was actually vibrating. The food in Latitude was cold. This was actually discussed with Arthur, who was lovely. But one evening the chicken was uncooked. Beachcombers Closed. La Veranda closed after six. Carnevale closed on Tuesdays and the new Executive Pool Restaurant closed. Also The Noodle House in the Madinat. This trip was to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We spent the evening drinking coffee in the Mall Of The Emirates as we had food poisoning and spent a week and a half of our holiday unable to eat or drink properly and could not face any more disappointing food in the hotel. The food at afternoon tea and happy hour was appalling. Wet spring rolls and dry Prawns in the evening and the choice of sandwiches in the afternoon were the same for our entire trip. This after all costs a lot of money on top of your room rate, used to be a fabulous experience, and now, unless you appreciate drinking heavily every evening, is totally not worth having. We had lunch instead at Somersault in the hotel nextdoor, which we highly recommend. It was fantastic. The Dow and Anchor and Carnevale were also fabulous as usual. The breakfast in Latitude was appalling. However. Chef in the PLC is so wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for her. I have read other reviews of the hotel. Which in due course have received a reply from Sven, basically sympathising with disgruntled guests. We are more than that. As are all your returning guests. Not the ones who pay less and have never been before. There are so many of us. We feel glad to be home. Our friends that we meet each year made our holiday. Not the hotel this time. We were so disappointed. Roger was wonderful each day. As was Ali. We have known him for many years. We hope that the alterations return the hotel to where it belongs. The iconic hotel in Dubai along with The Burj and that somehow you manage to retain all your long time returning guests to experience the New Jumeirah Beach Hotel. We can understand the need for change and all that comes with that. But not the standards we have all grown to accept as the best. That's why we all return year after year. It's so sad .........
I went here for the ladies night along with my aunt and mum, i ordered the beef Wellington and my mum got lamb, the food was incredibly tasty and well presented, regardless of the place being busy we did not wait long for our meals or drinks. the views were incredible and a relaxed atmosphere with just a acoustic singer and a wonderful breeze and constant champagne i must say it was a very good night, after our meals were decided we would like to have a look at the view from the top floor restaurant, so we were escorted up to the top floor floor in the glass elevator by a wonderful securtiy guard and when we got to the top floor we were unsure wether we would be able to walk in the restaurant without buying at least a drink but never the less we were greeted by wonderful staff how were more than happy to take us out on the terrace and allow us to look out at the view which all i can say is it totally took my breath away, it was spectacular .So a massive thanks to the staff at the Jumeirah for being so incredbly hostile and friendly. this place is a must if you ever get the chance to go then go!!!
