"Excellent service and well maintained property"
First time staying at a JW Marriott property and have high expectations for it. Plus points: Welcome drink upon arrival Service with a smile Spacious room and comfortable bed Powerful shower Minus points: Dim room and cabinets No bathrobe and need to request No toll free calls No in room directory of hotel services Far from airport and takes at least 1.5hrs to reach during peak hours Everything is expected of a JW Marriot property but felt letdown by lack of directory services and toll free calls for first time guest like me. There are other nice hotels around the area that would give JW a serious run for their money.

Excelent Location, Rooms are top maintained and top clean, the service from the staff is excelent and you can feel the friendlyness, also when you are arrive the check in is super fast. The Hotel to stay, away from home to feel at home

Strategically located in the heart of Jakarta as most of the MNC and government offices are in this area. The hospitality of the staffs is amazing. I was sick and they noticed it and offered me some lemon with hot drink etc. They are very proactive and attentive. The staff in the restaurant (especially the one who overlooks the counter of the entrance on last day and the day before I checkout) are very helpful. Great stay for business travels.
"Lack of clarity"
My stay at JWM was much looked forward to. With so many hotels in the offing, I chose JWM as I thought it would not go wrong, contrary to the not so favourable reviews I saw on the internet. To my relief, I was NOT wrong. They were all that I expected, not more, but that is OK. I was met at the airport and taken to my car, waiting for my travel to the hotel. At the hotel, I was a little confused during the check in process, as the person handling my check in, kept referring to my daily room rate and asked me to sign off on the check in form, even though the room was prepaid and fully paid for. Staying at the Executive Room with Exec lounge access. Got into the room it was well kept and clean but nothing special. I have been to Starwoods hotels for instance, where I have had chocolates/ fruits and/ or even cookies kept in the room. It is just a gesture. Nothing compulsory. Anyway, coming to the topic of the report was the "shuttle service" provided by the hotel to nearby shopping malls. JWM offers a free of charge shuttle to 3 shopping malls in the nearby vicinity. Lotte, where the vehicle drops you at the entrance of the mall and 2 others, one of which was Kuningan City Mall, which happened to be the one I wanted to visit. For the Kuningan Mall, the vehicles drops you at a bend of a main road, where the driver asks you to get down and cross the main road to get to the mall. The road has no pedestrian crossing and the drivers says 'just wait for a few cars on the road and then cross'!!!!!! I asked the driver to take me back to the hotel, where I asked for a PAID car which would take me to the entrance of the mall and not put me in danger of having to resort to an illegal crossing of the busy Jakarta City main roads. This is where clarity is needed. The hotel needs to state that they will drop you off at a close by point, from where one needs to resort to illegal road crossing to get to the shopping mall. Also, when it is free.... the famous saying when you throw peanuts, you get monkeys. I paid RP. 50,000.00 to take me from the entrance of JWM to the entrance of the Kuningan Shopping Mall. I came to jakarta to attending company event at Ritz Carlton this week unfortunately they are running out of room for me and my 2 colleagues. Then we are tried to booked a room at JW Marriott and I've got the same answer but We've got different treatment We've got a warm smile by Ms. Dora she said they are fully committed tomorrow but she helped me to find another hotel close to our event. She informed us to check tripadvisor for good hotel , She called to Oakwood,Westin, finally she got a room for 3 of us at Manhattan. Eventhough I am not a staying guest in your hotel but Ms. Dora told her friend Ms. Octa to gave us a welcome drink, assisted us to the main lobby by Ms. Octa and they even prepare a car to drop us to Manhattan Hotel. Such a genuine service from JW Marriott Jakarta's Staff. My colleague gave his name card to both of them they can contact us if they are coming to philippine and We will stay in your hotel for sure next time. Please send my regards to Ms. Dora and Ms. Octa
