"JW Miami is horrendous!!! As a Platinum Member, I’m Annoyed!!!"
I received the Worst treatment ever at this Marriott! After last night I'm literally considering switching to Hilton - these guys are horrendous! Awful customer service - oh and they lock the MAIN ENTRANCE at 11pm and literally look at you through the glass door and tell you to go around the hotel (I get security issues but at least push the door open for me instead of shaking your head)! The management team took 45 minutes to switch my hotel room and the security guard even told us management confuses them. This hotel sucks. It makes me think about Marriott as a whole - incredibly disappointed and really really had the worst time!
"Attended a conference "
Never had stayed in Brickell before, but will make sure I'm back. Very solid hotel, I liked most the kingsize beds, wow how comfortable. Finally a great and big flatscreen in a hotel room. Couldn't use the pool they say I wanted because of thunderstorms but you'll like their gym. In terms of food I would recommend to go outside though and not stay in the hotel.
The rooms were dated, however the beddings they had used were splendid. The bathrooms were extremely large and luxurious. Staff were kind and tentative. The pool was amazing, has a view of the city. Valet, though expensive was surprisingly worth it. Call downstairs, "i want my car" already there by the time I get down to the valet section. The only thing that annoyed me was how wifi was a premium, like really' Its 2017. Anyways it was an overall a good one night place to stay.
"Deceitful to say the least..."
We booked a room here for a romantic weekend away. We chose a nice romance package that would come with champagne and strawberries. Upon arrival there was no champagne and strawberries anywhere. The next day at 3pm we decided to ask front desk when we would get it. We happened to talk to John Zuniga, the manager. He acknowledged we should get it and he said he would send it up to the room by 6pm. At 6.45 i decided to call front desk because we still had not received the champagne and strawberries. The person on the phone said he would talk to the manager and call back. A little later he called to apologize and said they were on their way up. At 8.30 pm we left for dinner but first stopped by front desk to ask again about the champagne and strawberries. John acted as if he did not know we had not received it. He said he did not want us to be upset.... well we were. We should not have had to ask three times for something we paid for. We told him we did not want it anymore. We left the hotel and not much later John called on my cell phone. Now he said we had not gotten the champagne because we had the do not disturb sign on the door. That was a lie! When we came back in the hotel, someone had put the champagne and strawberries in our room even if we said we did not want it anymore. John calls himself professional. I do not see however what is professional about first not delivering what is clearly stated in the reservation AND secondly by lying to us and shifting the blame on us, AND thirdly not respecting what we agreed upon and discussed (we did not want the champagne anymore and he sent someone in the room anyway) JW Marriott should really have a good look at this place as it is not up to standard and management is horrible. Awful customer service. And then I did not even mention the stains on the chair, crappy pillows, loose carpet, defective shower door, and bed not up to standard.
"Everything was Excellent!"
Nice lobby. Not over the top, get's the job done. Friendly excellent check-in. Asked for a king, done. Room was great. Big!. Big bathroom, big TV and big bed. Shower knocks you down, big soft towels( two very important things to me). But the thing that got me to 5 was the staff. Called to get decaf( coffee in room), done in 10 min. Called for help with wi-fi, done. Called for wake-up, on time. All of these were handled by Rohan. Ask for him. He made me feel like he was my personal concierge. I ate at the restaurant on the 2nd floor. Great piece of fish( Hog snapper). not a hog,not a snapper, excellent. The man at the bar who made my excellent margarita and took my order, and served me was wonderful. Extremely professional, friendly and happy. Good to be around. I am sorry I don't remember his name. I wrote it down but can't find the paper. Overall I bet everyone on their staff is great. I never dealt with anyone who wasn't. Best business hotel I have stayed at in years.I have never felt more valued at any hotel (in America) regardless of ratings or price I highly recommend staying here. PS, I am a Marriott member but I don't think that made a difference.
