I've been to Lima many times but this was my first stay at the JW Marriott. Service and attention to details are what makes this hotel stand out from the rest. Would highly recommend staying here. Hotel is in a very nice waterfront section of Miraflores nears shopping and restaurants. The sushi bar at the hotel is very good as is the breakfast buffet.
"Love this hotel!"
Great hotel, friendly staff at the concierge desk and elite members desk with Luis. We took advantage of the executive lounge and loved it. Greta was lovely and the customer service was fantastic. We will most certainly be back! Thank you!
2 days in Lima prior to heading to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Absolutely perfect location, with terrific ocean views, and right across from the mall with many outstanding dining spots and great shopping. Exceptionally good service, but particularly the young ladies that run the Concierge lounge in the mornings. So attentive and friendly, and made the stay for us. I'd go back just to see them! Concierge lounge is very good, rooms comfortable and stylish with excellent beds and bedding. We had a limousine from the hotel take us photo shooting on our last morning and he was incredibly accommodating. I can't imagine we'd stay anywhere else when we return to Lima. Thanks for a great stay!
Great view, wonderful service, excellent location! Very good service in the executive lounge. Received great advice on places to visit. Loved the architecture and design of the different areas of the hotel.
"I'm a Marriott vacationer. This one takes the prize for service, quality, and location."
The prime location of the JW Lima provides a perfect home base. The checkin process was seamless, the service was top-notch, and the room was spacious with a spectacular ocean view. Reserve a room on the Executive level and you'll get access to the Executive Lounge which at this location serves up a complimentary breakfast beyond your imagination, a light lunch, happy hour (wine and beer) and a light dinner. Of course you won't want to take all your meals here, but you could if you wanted to! An added bonus is that Virgilio Martinez' top rated Central Restaurant is literally around the corner (you don't want to miss that experience-- ours was amazing). The hotel La Vista restaurant provided a tasty dinner on our first day when we were too tired to venture out. Our friends visited the bar nightly and said the bartender was so friendly. They ended up switching from their Miraflores hotel over to the JW for their last three nights after spending some time with us there. This location provided a good starting point for walking tours to Barranco district, including the MAC museum, street art, Amor Amar restaurant, JFK park, the 3-hour evening Mirabus Tour (do this -- so worth it!). The hotel is directly across the street from Larcomar mall where you can shop till you drop and eat to your heart's content. There's a Starbucks downstairs so you can sip your espresso as you window shop at H Stern's jewelry shop. If you are coming from the Lima Airport it will cost you around s/70 (70 Peruvian soles = approximately $22 on Nov 8, 2017) and the concierge is happy to help you arrange for a return ride to the airport upon your departure. If you need to do laundry don't use the hotel service (it's crazy expensive) -- go to Lava Queen just three blocks away and they'll give you express service in 3-4 hours for only 25 soles per load (about $8 US). Our concierge, Carlos, was amazing. Claudia at La Vista restaurant was very sweet and helpful. STAY HERE. You won't be disappointed.
