The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest enjoys a superb location, right in the centre of Budapest. The major attractions of the city are within walking distance of the hotel, like the Chain Bridge, St Stephen’s Basilica, the Parliament Buildings and the National Opera House. The hotel is easily accessible by car.

"Good,location. Nice but not perfect"
Excellent included breakfast buffet. Very nice room. Though our room - on the 7th floor - could hear muffled street conversations well into the night. Very good desk /bellhop/ concierge service. Location is great.
"5 star hotel in Budapest... Well, in Pest"
Great location of hotel. Staff are very accommodating. Room is excellent. Centrally located to markets, Vacszy street (sp), chain bridge. Good restaurants on site. Concierge service is very helpful. Michael Jackson memorial tree is right across the hotel, apparently he used to stay in this hotel on his visits to Budapest. Restaurants on site are very good, excellent customer service and will customize your meal with healthy options, no surcharges and no fuss! There is a deli/coffee shop on first floor which is very convenient for a light lunch or sandwiches to go!
"Beautiful facade with quirks"
I would rate this hotel as good - as opposed to what is reflected in the overall rating of average since TA does not have this category. Strengths The facade, lobby and the interior are excellent and worthy of the Kempinski label. The spa and business center's are also very good with staff working in these places, eager to please and generally accommodating. Areas for improvement (quirks) Marketed as a 5 star property under the luxury category, is in my opinion an espoused value based on my personal observations during my 4 day 3 night stay. The quality of my stay did not quite match the premium rates charged for this hotel. My Room The Jr Suite I occupied is not a traditional suite generally used by other 5 star hotels. It is literally 2 interconnecting rooms converted into one. The layout of both rooms were similar in nature with the exception of the bed, the sofa and the living room having an Nespresso type coffee machine. Hence, I had 2 bathrooms, 2 TV sets, two closets, 2 work desk 2 safe's and yes, the rooms required 2 sets of keys inserted on either side of the rooms to activate power. Although I did not personally view the other suites, I suspect the rooms sharing the same corridor as mine - 900 to 918 all share a similar fate. If by definition of 2 separate rooms with one containing the bed while the other, a sofa, then the suite I resided in fits the bill. Guest used to the regular definition of a suite may wish to clarify with front desk/reservation before placing a reservation less left battling negative emotions on check in for wrongful/inaccurate representation. Other quirks within the suite I found issues with are the size of the TV, the position of the safe's, the lack of power sockets which accepts international devices and the missing bed stands which did not allow me a place to put my glasses. (see attached picture). The size of the LCD Philips TV was only slightly larger than my screen on my flight which was kind of disappointing. Sadly, I cannot review any of the channels on offer as I did not bother using it. The safe is placed in an awkward position requiring one to get down on their knees to safe keep valuables. Not great for those with joint issues. Unsure if those involved in the planning and design of the sites take these issues into consideration. Upgrades are definitely needed on the power sockets that are friendly to International travelers. Sure adapters help but in this day and age where one has multiple devises that requires charging, this suite has not delivered in this area. I looked through the posting of other travellers and am delighted to learn that other rooms do come equipped with power outlets friendly to International devices. Sadly, I am unsure which category of rooms these are found in. I can vouch they are NOT found in Jr Suites. To the duty/PR manager reading this review, renovations are required. Rather than have 2 separate equal size bathrooms with identical features, why not make the bathroom in the master bedroom wider and more spacious with facilities further apart with the decreased remaining space in the living room just containing a standard toilet and wash sink. Not only is this practice more environmentally friendly, it will also cut down on unnecessary work on your housekeeping staff. Could you also ensure there are 2 bedside tables flanking both sides' This current arrangement is akin to my luggage only having wheels on me side and is not a good reflection of this brand name. This hotel, as with the major tourist spots within Budapest, is struggling to cope with the influx of tourist. I have seen at least 1 tour group that makes use of this property as their choice of accommodation. The check-in process and the public areas guest of this tour groups mingle in can be better managed for the comfort of your other residents. Being delayed in the lobby due to the lack of room for maneuver is not an image you want to leave guest with I am curious to learn how your team plan to problem-solve this issue and your commitment to looking after the welfare and comfort of ALL paying guest. Brekky The spread in ES Bistro is extensive with multiple stations offering something different. Well-done in this regard. I love the fresh juice section which allowed me to mix orange and carrot/tomato etc. Your effort to cater to diabetics with sugar free jams on offer is also worthy of mention. Why not complete an already great spread by throwing in an omelette station rather than a ala carte paid option. Another quirk perhaps. My observation of waiters extremely keen to clear cutlery and crockery of guest is consistent with the postings made by others on TA. Perhaps, it may be due to the fact of being overworked and clearing after tourist groups on a schedule that has resulted in service being functional. One notable exception is Adrianne, who made an effort to recognise returning diners, engage guest with small talk and exuded warmth in that process. Such a joy to be ushered into the brekky table by her. Please do compare this review with others posted on this property and make up your own mind if this hotel is worthy of the marketed tag of a 5 star establishment.
"Hotel for the stars"
Very elegant, in the heart of Budapest. Excellent breakfast, comfy beds. Although it doesn't have the coveted Danube view, it is a walking distance from it, surrounded by theaters, concert halls, shopping.
"Classic Luxury Hotel in the heart of Budapest"
The Kempinski is a classic luxury hotel that offers exactly what you expect from a five star property. Large and generous rooms with free Nespresso coffee. Beautiful lobby great for meetings and an amazing spa with swimming pool and sauna. A true landmark in Budapest.
