Despite a booking through hotels.com for a stay of three nights, I was not able to enjoy the 'privilege', as called by the management, to spend a night in the hotel. I was traveling with a local friend and due to the Egyptian law we were not able to check in in the same room. We had previously contacted the hotel and we were confirmed twice that this was not an issue as one of us is a foreigner and we proceeded with the booking only to discover upon arrival that the information given over the phone was untrue. The charming lady who I assume is the manager of the hotel was quite kind at the beginning but happened to treat us as liars and ended up being quite aggressive. We just wanted to find a solution so our holiday was not ruined but no responsibility was taken from the hotel. Upon a few useless back and forth she offered us to book 2 rooms with the full price, while one would not be used (2100 USD for 3 nights)!!!! Despite all the inconvenience caused by the, I suppose, genuine ignorance of the hotel employee, the hotel didn't even propose to give us any sort of discount or special treatment. I was very much surprised and shocked by the way we were treated by the management of this type of hotels and the way they didn't take an ownership of what happened. However, the villa looks beautiful and is a pity and unfortunate that the management can not keep up with the standards of this type of properties. Alba
Spend a day there by the beach terrace for a family member wedding party, very clean, organized with a special atmosphere, good food and service for the party set up... Rooms are big and unique but way expensive 300 $ per night.....
A charming and beautiful boutique hotel. With high ceilings, vary spacious rooms and classic decor. The hotel has only 11 suites. It is very quite and exclusive hotel with excellent and specialized service. In fact, the service is one of the best that you can get here. Food is good. Beach is clean and nice. Swimming pool is small. Beautiful spa and very good treatments. Good food. However, a note of caution, you must like this kind of hotels and it may not be the cup of tea for everyone

"Best cocktails in Gouna - And Egypt!"
Disclaimer: I didn't stay at the hotel, I came twice, once as a wedding guest and the second day to spend time in the pool with friends. Impeccable service, the best trained waiters and staff I've seen in a while, Maison Bleue is very well above my budget but I would recommend it to anyone who could afford it. The pool is tiny but gorgeous to look at, the beach is private though a little windy, and I loved their turkish hamam of hot and cold baths and the steam room. The bartender blew me away with his excellent mojitos and pina coladas, which were smooth and excellently blended with a touch of nutmeg for the colada. Be warned, the cocktails are expensive at 150LE a glass but by far the best I've had in a while here. Also, they make their own bitters. I'd definitely come back for a meal here or a relaxed day by the pool away from the noise and loud music you'd find elsewhere in Gouna. Very chic.
