"Probably the best in Chiang Mai."
Le Meridien is one of the few "chain" hotels in Chiang Mai. It is in a good location if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of Old Town but want to be close enough to the action. It is right across the street from a night bazaar, if you like that sort of thing. There is a Starbucks right across the street and several restaurants around the area. The sushi place across the street is quite good (Aiku). We were able to do all the attractions in Chiang Mai from this hotel. The service at the hotel is impeccable. They are very accommodating and everyone is very friendly. We had our laundry done by Em's Laundry (you can google her for more details) which was amazing. She had our laundry done and delivered to our room while we were out in 5 hours. Very reasonable prices. The view from our room was INCREDIBLE. We saw all of Chiang Mai through our window. While this hotel is top notch, it does have a couple of cons. First, we didn't love the area ourselves. We just didn't care for the night bazaar and the area. We quickly learned that this area of town was not our favorite as it was overrun with massage parlors and loud clubs. We really loved the Nimman area of Chiang Mai. It's a bit outside of the city center so you'd probably want to get a car (which we did to visit Doi Inthanon and Doi Suthep) or a scooter. It seems like a neighborhood for expats. It's very modern, lot's of coffee shops and modern buildings.
"Good City Hotel!"
Great rooms, very comfortabe beds, friendly and helpful staff, great view, convenient location. Only negative for me was that it was not very smoker friendly, would have loved to spend a day at the pool and enjoy the bar but found it to annoying that everytime you want a cigarette you have to take the elevator a couple of floors down in your wet shorts. Could at least have a smoking corner up there, it is outdoors so you wont be bothering other people. Anyway, ended up not using the pool bar and had our own drinks at the smokers terrace which has no service! Shame because I was prepared to blow a few grand on some nice wine bottles at the pool bar but that really put me off. Anyway, thank you very much to all the team.
"Comfy and great location in city-centre"
I've been at Le Meridien Chiangmai in 2016 with my friend. We stayed at Deluxe Room with twin bed as the attached photos. There's also daybed in the room which the third person could sleep on. This hotel is in the city centre of Chiangmai. Pretty good location to explore Chiangmai town.
Great hotel with a lovely staff! Highly recommend the buffet breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms right in the heart of the city. I know that the price is a bit higher than others in the area, but trust me it's worth it. We originally thought a lower priced "4 star" hotel nearby would be perfectly fine, but we were proven wrong. Luckily we were able to check out of that place and walk to Le Meridian for a lovely stay in Chiang Mai. Definitely recommend this hotel!!
I am enjoying my stay very much. The staff are attentive and interested. The room is very comfortable with lovely facilities. I enjoyed a very professional massage this afternoon. I suggest you place a spa menu in each room as it was very difficult to find out what treatments were available. I'm glad I persevered. Breakfast was challenging with some large groups being noisy and some very questionable table manners. Again I suggest you seat groups to the rear of the restaurant so as not to disturb your other customers. The food selection was good though and your coffee quite excellent. Overall I've enjoyed my stay with Le Meridien.
