"Luxury hideaway to relax"
Spent five nights here after having a pool villa in koh pha ngan Great room with direct pool access and spacious bathroom. Only a few rooms and villas. High discretion. Nice beach area. Not crowded at all. Breakfast is awesome. Variety and quality is exceptional. We had spa treatment and it was very relaxing and professional.
"What A Gas"
We had great expectations and excitement heading to LM Koh Samui for our anniversary. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as we envisioned. A bungalow with a small personal pool was nice. The bed was comfortable. We had an awesome lunch at latest Recipe with a wonderful view of the gulf. After lunch we walked out to a mini-mart and then back to the room. I took advantage of the spa and had a good massage. While I was gone my wife got a message they would be spraying for mosquitoes between 1600 and 1700. I checked out the pool and then we lay down and relaxed to wait out the fogging and until dinner time. My wife noted that the fogging machine was getting loud so they must be spraying at that moment. Than the smell got stronger so I got up to see why. The fogging was flowing through an upper window and filling our room. We had no idea those windows had no glass as they are covered with net curtains. I started gagging and my wife experienced a coughing fit. We quickly got dressed while sucking down the smoke that was intended to kill mosquitoes. Then we hurried to the front desk. The staff was not concerned. They displayed only deference and apathy, certainly not compassion or empathy. They did not go to check our room. Finally we said we couldn’t stay here so they contacted another spg resort and got us moved. They staff never apologized other than to say, “sorry for the inconvenience.” Inconvenience is having to wait to check-in or you ask for a king size bed and you get a room with twin beds. The staff never asked how we were physically ever. I know the spray is intended for outside duty and isn’t considered hazardous in that environment but it is if in an enclosed area and that is what you are breathing most. I have tried to initiate a dialogue but staff and management have no interest that is the resort, Le Meridien, and Starwood. They have sent me emails but never told me why they didn’t bother telling us there is no glass in the upper windows, they didn’t share documents stating the fog or smoke is totally harmless. They did award me 12000 spg points and offered a complimentary stay at LM Koh Samui but they have never taken responsibility for what happened and never acknowledged what happened. My wife’s respiratory problem is finally subsiding. I have to say this experience at LM Koh Samui is the worst I have ever had in all my years of staying at hotels and resorts around the world.
"My place 4th time and not the last"
Stuff so great, breakfast ...wow.room too...so if needed to recommend...here no hesitation at all. I like the decoration enjoyed the ceremony in the evening and the room with shower and bath....needless to say amazing . For sure it is one of a very unique place in Samui and in Thailand .
"Great staff and location"
I love the staff at this hotel. I had a minor issue with my air con and they switched me into a new room before I could finish my complaint. The staff is very efficient and helpful from helping with directions, to restaurants and even laid out an itinerary for me in the next city I was going to visit. Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean.. Can't find a better place for breakfast or lunch. Location was convenient to both towns of Chewang and Lamai
"Nice but pricey"
The hotel and the facilities are amazing. The rooms are very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Probably one of the best ones I've slept in. For Thailand however, the prices at the hotel were very steep. Even happy hour was still expensive and I wouldn't eat there as you can eat anywhere within a 500 meter radius and pay a third of what you would pay at the hotel.
