This hotel has the potential to be great! I stay here 3 to 4X per year for business. Front desk staff are polite and friendly most of the time. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. Could be more consistent in offering bag service upon arrival (the staff do not always offer to help me with my bags; more often than not, I have to do this myself) or even offering to find me a taxi. Not that they have much control, but the smoke pit is also where Uber tends to pick up. Restaurant is over priced. Bar service is either too slow or too efficient. Pool has not been functioning for months. Great location to Old Montreal and the metro. This is a large hotel that does cater to groups so keep this in mind as my visit before this in Sept 2017 was definitely a challenge with large bus groups taking up the lobby space and their buses were parked where the Uber stop is making it a challenge. Overall though, this hotel is reliable.
"Family and business trip to Montreal"
This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Montreal city close to its most popular atttractions. The hotels is very classy and the rooms are very clean and well decorated. The restaurant however didn’t have a wide variety especially at dinner and in particular for the kids. However the restaurant atmosphere and food were excellent and service was amazing
The room was nice and all. The bed was clean and was comfortable. However, when I called housekeeping about the toilet being plugged, they brought me a plunger and told me to fix it myself...what kind of service is that'''
"Great location and views"
We stayed here so that my husband would be very close to the Palais des congrès de Montréal where my husband was attending a conference. We were given a huge room on the top floor and the views of the water were nice. The hotel is within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and places to visit.
"Great location, met expectations"
Stayed here for 6 nights to attend a conference. The hotel's location directly across from the conference center and a couple of blocks from Old Montreal is perfect. It's easy to walk to many of Montreal's best sights - museums, historic areas, Notre Dame Cathedral, St. Laurence seaway. It is also a short drive away from Mont Royal should you be so inclined. The room met the typical Westin standard - comfortable bed, great linens, clean. The wifi was slow and I had to repeatedly sign in so a small annoyance. TV channels were limited, but again, I wasn't in Montreal for the tv so no big deal. I did appreciate the option to not have daily cleaning in exchange for SPG points.
