I wasn't terribly impressed with this place, seems like a lot of style over substance. The rooms were very small and our shower was dreadful, took ages to get only lukewarm water out of it and the pipes made a terrible banging sound. Our view was to the rear of the property so if you want any kind of decent aspect, ask for one to the front. The staff were pleasant enough but don't really engage and offer the bare minimum of service. We'd just come from a much nicer hotel in Bratislava that was about half the price. I realise Vienna is expensive but this wasn't worth the money.
What is great: location, breakfast selection, clean rooms What could be better: size of the rooms, friendliness of staff (though they are polite just very cold) What is horrible: the breakfast logistics - too many people, too few tables and cups etc.
The hotel’s location is top,the hotel is nice but is kinda expensive. We took bed and breakfast,we had to pay extra for the Wifi and for the garage. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean and cozy, but if you’re oldfashioned, the bathroom will be a problem. The bathroom in the room has only glass doors,so that is something I didn’t like. Overall for the price we paid you could find a better hotel.
"Pay attention to conversation details and documents"
I have booked the room by phone for the next day, confirmed the booking at the reception desk next morning around 10 a.m. by paying for the room and garage. I took into consideration the possibility of leaving the room on time but keeping the car in the garage more than 24 hours so that I have asked the receptionist accordingly. There will be no problem, she said, but forgot to mention that I will have to pay the garage for one more day. Well, that became obvious to me by reading the message on the machine issuing the garage entrance ticket and by reading the ticket. Also, further to my question about the possible use of the garage over 24 hours, the clerk requested an amount of Euros like guarantee over the basic payment for room & garage. Then she told me that for WiFi I should pay extra. So, pay attention to details as you might be charged over the basic price e.g. for Garage, for WiFi, maybe for the drinks in the refrigerator or for TV. Otherwise the room is tiny but good, the ventilation system works fine, the bed is good and clean, also the towels, the shower and the toilet. The hotel employees are polite, maybe some of them cold polite, others really polite but anyway all of them are polite. Regarding cockroaches I know, every metropolis has them but using a little bit of insecticides you can keep them away from the bathroom, especially from the sink. Regarding any possible noise I must say that the room was silent and good for repose. The location of the hotel seems to me very good and it is also to be mentioned that it is very close to Westbahnhof tram & U station where from you can buy for instance a 7.60 € ticket which can be used on all the public means of transport for 24 hours. Then in a very short time you can reach any side of Vienna. Finally, in my opinion this hotel and its employees provides very good conditions and services for the tourists visiting Vienna.
"Good location, but that is all"
Only the location of the hotel was great. The service was very bad. Rooms are ok, but wifi charging policy is a disgrase. And it doesnt even work in the bar. As allready mentioned in some other comment, we also had an unpleasant experience with the receptionist with the short blonde hair. They charged us with the parking that we have already paid. The receipt was in our room that we checked out from... We expected from hotel employees to be a little more customer oriented. The garage is ok if you drive very small car, the walls are all torn apart from scratching. Anyway, cheap hotel, great location but very bad staff. Change the mindset of the staff, quit charging wifi (its better to calculate it in the price of the room even) and you will be cool.
